Role summary:

The (USA) Director, Quality Assurance leads the development and execution of comprehensive quality assurance programs to ensure consistent product excellence. This role oversees quality processes, improvements, and product performance management while collaborating with stakeholders to implement effective strategies. The director manages a team of QA Managers, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and fosters a culture of integrity and accountability. By leveraging data analysis and industry best practices, this position supports operational excellence and customer satisfaction, while developing talent and promoting a high-performing, ethical work environment aligned with organizational goals.
About the team:

The Technical & Quality Assurance team upholds product quality and technical standards within Walmart Brand General Merchandise. Collaborating closely with Design, Product Development, Sourcing, Merchants, and suppliers, the team ensures products consistently meet customer expectations and company requirements. They drive continuous improvement and quality risk mitigation through effective quality management practices. This team emphasizes leadership in quality policy, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous quality improvement to maintain excellence and support Walmart's commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality products to customers.
What you'll do:
  • Lead and oversee quality assurance programs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate quality control processes, conducting performance assessments and providing actionable feedback to enhance customer quality experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to assess and improve product quality, including training and performance evaluation.
  • Manage quality assurance budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to support operational goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify behavioral gaps, develop action plans, and promote a culture of accountability and integrity.
  • Drive talent development through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning to build a skilled workforce.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven leadership experience in quality assurance and quality management within complex operational environments.
  • Expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality assurance programs and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of quality policies, Six Sigma methodologies, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify behavioral gaps, training needs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Experience managing budgets and resource planning for quality control functions.
  • Skilled in collaborating with stakeholders to drive process enhancements and supplier quality management.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
