  • Act as the single point of contact for all quality concerns

Full Job Description
Who YOU are: You possess a passion for Quality and are driven with a high capability of employing effective strategic and tactical initiatives that assure the highest product and process quality while driving continual improvement across the organization resulting in high customer satisfaction and efficient Operational execution. This role is key to the success of our business and as such you will own all things Quality and execute the day-to-day Quality function deployment.

Position Overview

You will report directly to the President. You will own and be completely accountable for the creation and successful execution and management of the Quality Management System, Environmental Management System and their Continual Improvement strategies. Successful performance in this position requires leading all Quality Assurance responsibilities across organization including supporting achieving all overall company goals and objectives aligned with the business.

Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
  • Own and continually improve QMS/EMS driving enhanced and value-added processes to support customer requirements, business needs, execution of company goals
  • Develop measurable Quality improvement plans and data analysis methods
  • Drive Key Performance Metrics continually improving Product/Process Quality
  • Owner of Quality and Environmental related regulatory, third party, and internal audits and certifications (ISO 9001, etc)
  • Lead preventive/corrective actions collaborating with internal/external stakeholders to remediate Quality issues and continually improve QMS/EMS
  • Single point of contact for all Quality concerns/issues
  • Lead Supplier, internal, and customer Quality improvement efforts
  • Employ APQP activities to further enhance DMAIC
  • Interact with all levels of the organization and effectively communicate with
  • Executive Leadership
  • Develop Quality Department employees for future growth
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in an a related Engineering field
  • 10 years Quality Management experience, with 5 recent years in Aerospace/DoD preferred
  • 5 years of ISO9001 Quality Management certification experience
  • Experienced in developing and executing APQP fundamentals, preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong ISO9001 and DoD standards understanding
  • Strong RCCA and Problem-solving leadership
  • Proficient in interpreting technical documents
  • Strong APQP skills
  • Outstanding Facilitation and Organization Skills
  • Ability to analyze data/situations and draw relevant conclusions
  • Six Sigma experience
  • Preferred ASQ certifications (CQM, CQE, CQA)
  • Ability to lead, direct, and develop others with effective Leadership that promotes transparency, urgency, extreme ownership mindset
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Strong working knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, CMMC)

Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance if required
  • Travel as needed
  • Availability for on-call support as necessary

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Position environment is neutral with low to moderate noise exposure, is a seated position requiring the extended use of a computer and computer equipment. Position may infrequently be required to move equipment and other machinery up to 50 pounds across a room. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
