JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Program Management, this role is a key member of the PMO New Product Introduction (NPI) team and is responsible for leading digital NPI programs and sub-portfolio execution, spanning apps and cloud. This role ensures end-to-end orchestration of digital product readiness, from development through launch and scale, across global markets with accountability for delivery of complex, cross-functional digital programs within the NPI portfolio.

This position operates the portfolio execution level, translating business objectives into integrated program plans through established governance and integrated business planning processes, while driving execution excellence across a highly matrixed environment.

What You'll Work On

Digital NPI Program and Portfolio Leadership

  • Lead the app and cloud portfolio, including execution of major digital NPI programs


  • Translate enterprise divisional strategy into program plans and roadmaps aligned to NPI priorities


  • Ensure alignment to product roadmap, IBP processes and launch commitments


  • Orchestrate dependencies across:


  • Hardware, software, and digital ecosystems


  • Cross functional partners


  • External partners and platform integrations


  • Resolve cross-system constraints and execution risks impacting delivery timelines


Portfolio Governance and Operating Model

  • Lead governance for assigned programs and contribute to portfolio governance forums


  • Drive structured decision-making through:


  • Clear status, risks, and trade-offs


  • Recommended actions for leadership


  • Apply and improve existing operating models, processes, and tools


Launch Readiness & Delivery Excellence

  • Ensure programs meet NPI readiness milestones:


  • Product development maturity


  • Regulatory submissions and approvals


  • Digital system readiness


  • Commercial launch preparedness


  • Drive consistent, high-quality execution across global product launches and releases


Risk, Compliance & Quality Management

  • Manage program-level risks, dependencies, and trade-offs


  • Ensure alignment with regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements


  • Escalate critical risks with clear mitigation plans and recommendations


Executive Communication & Decision Support

  • Provide clear, decision-oriented insights into the portfolio team and senior leadership


  • Frame options, trade-offs, and recommendations to drive timely decisions


  • Escalate issues requiring cross-portfolio or enterprise alignment


Talent Leadership & PMO Capability

  • Lead and develop project and program leaders (G18-G20) within assigned programs


  • Drive execution rigor, accountability, and consistent ways of working


  • Contribute to development of PMO capability, tools, and best practices


Experience You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years experience in program/portfolio leadership within a global, matrixed team, preferably including experience with consumer-focused medical or software products.


  • Associates Degree (+/- 13 years)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Cross-functional experience in the areas of R&D, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Manufacturing


  • Knowledge of regulations and standards related to medical devices (eg FDA, ISO, QSR design controls).


  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-level portfolios and influence senior stakeholders, and to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across multiple time zones.


  • Deep expertise in governance design, operating models, and portfolio prioritization


  • Strong executive communication and decision-making skills


  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams


  • Experience with portfolio management tools and reporting frameworks preferred


  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization


  • Strong leadership, and the ability to collect information from multiple sources, and synthesize, integrate, and resolve conflicting requirements and cross-functional issues.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
