Job description

Join our first-class team to reinvent in-flight experience. In the role of Director, Production-Operations you'll play a pivotal part on our production team. Directs and oversees the operational policies, objectives, and initiatives. Possesses broad manufacturing industry experience. Must be a professional accustom to instating robust lean operations through the use of Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Prioritizes departmental schedules based on contractual obligations, resources, capacities, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Leads, directs, guides, and assigns the work of Managers and other leadership personnel. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Summary of Duties:
• Responsible for developing, monitoring, measuring, and managing the business plans to ensure profitability objectives are met.
• Responsible for ensuring departmental goals and objectives are consistent with overall corporate objectives.
• Responsible for administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.
• Directs and coordinates activities of subordinate management to insure attainment of goals and objectives.
• Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
• Confers with Senior Management to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
• Ensure safety and welfare of employees, customers, and visitors while on company property.
• Provides direction for leadership activities within the department.
• Ensures effective management of all inter-company, subcontractor, and customer related processes.
• Insures all production and operational aspects of the company are conducted efficiently and in accordance with the companies Quality Management System.
• Reviews business profitability on an on-going basis and makes necessary changes to insure all costs are controlled through sound business practices.
• Reviews production and operational reports and resolves operational and manufacturing problems, to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Supervisor Responsibilities: Oversees the duties of subordinate Managers and Supervisors, which supervise exempt and non-exempt employees in Production, Departments. The Director of Production is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the department's activities. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The expected salary range for this position is between $133,230 - $209,360 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
