What you'll be doingAt Simplii Financial, we're redefining how Canadians move money by building robust, scalable payments platforms that simplify complex processes and anticipate future needs. As the Director, Product Owner - Payments Infrastructure & Transaction Processing, you'll lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery priorities for Simplii's payments infrastructure. You'll be responsible for ensuring reliable, transparent, and efficient money movement across digital and assisted channels, overseeing integration with payment hubs, card processors, rail providers, and reconciliation systems. Your role will involve translating business goals, regulatory mandates, and operational pain points into actionable product outcomes, partnering closely with technology, architecture, operations, risk, finance, and external vendors. You'll drive modernization efforts, streamline platform architecture, and ensure the payments infrastructure is resilient, compliant, and positioned for innovation.

How you'll succeed- Payments Infrastructure Product Ownership - Define and refine the product vision for Simplii's payments platform, balancing reliability, scalability, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Transaction Processing & Integration - Translate business and regulatory priorities into a clear roadmap, managing integrations with payment hubs, processors, card networks, rail providers, and finance systems.
- Modernization & Architecture Simplification - Lead the discovery and delivery of payments modernization initiatives, reducing duplication and complexity while enhancing platform resilience and extensibility.
- Reconciliation & Operational Excellence - Develop and maintain capabilities for payments reconciliation, settlement, and operational visibility, ensuring compliance with regulatory and scheme requirements.
- Backlog Ownership & Agile Leadership - Manage the squad backlog, lead agile ceremonies, and provide transparent roadmap updates to senior leaders and delivery teams.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement - Act as the product decision-maker, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to translate requirements into deliverable outcomes.
