Your role at Clorox:

Clorox is on a margin transformation journey to combat extraordinary and unprecedented levels of inflationary headwinds and margin pressures. To enable this transformation, Clorox established the Value Transformation Office (VTO) with the goal of building a clear and highly actionable pipeline to deliver the company's margin improvement targets.

The Value Transformation Office's vision is to drive transformational, enterprise-wide margin improvement through a sustainable pipeline, systematic approach, and rigorous value management. Key objectives include:

-Amplify, accelerate, and enable Clorox to achieve its strategic margin objectives (balancing in-year targets with a 3-year strategic horizon)
-Act as a control tower that provides transparency into overall margin transformation program delivery, risks, and tradeoffs
-Drive best practices to create a margin expansion mindset across the enterprise
-Facilitate the identification and formalization of cross-BU, and enterprise initiatives annually

We are looking for a dynamic team member who can drive dig site identification, large-scale ideation, playbook development, and change management associated with margin improvements. Focus for this individual is to identify margin enhancement across the value chain, but with a greater focus on procurement, design-to-value, and portfolio optimization. The scope of the Value Transformation Office is full Gross Margin, with focused teams for cost savings and revenue growth management activities. This role will join the cost savings leadership team and report to the Senior Director of Cost Transformation. This team drives margin transformation across all of Clorox, in partnership with executive leadership, business unit general managers, and functional leaders.

In this role, you will:

Orchestrate procurement and product margin transformation program and ideation to fill a 3-year margin transformation pipeline
  • Document and prioritize opportunities, facilitating the development of detailed business case analyses that provide full visibility into margin potential
  • Evaluate interdependencies across initiatives and escalate risks to the executive team and workstream leads as necessary
  • Track margin improvement program value realization; escalate risk and mitigations related to financials
  • Partner with senior leadership in establishing procurement targets and multi-year margin improvement strategies
  • Drive coordination of margin improvement efforts across the enterprise and proactive cross-functional action planning for risks, mitigations, and dependencies
  • Partner with Strategic Business Unit and Functional leaders to enable execution of margin improvement targets and share joint accountability for their delivery
  • Support the creation of executive updates (e.g., senior executive committee, Board updates) and develop meeting materials (including consolidation of materials from Business Unit and working teams)
  • Support the development of communications and education in support of Value Transformation Office objectives across the enterprise


Strategic enterprise margin improvement enablement
  • Lead in advancing overall margin enhancement capability development
  • Lead in the development of tools and best practices across the VTO; create, document, and enforce VTO governance model
  • Provide coaching and professional development support to direct reports within VTO
  • Lead in the development of processes, techniques, and playbooks to advance margin improvement ideation and identification
  • Facilitate best practice sharing across business units and functions to enable value creation
  • Serve as a challenge partner for senior leadership; influence stakeholders at the vice president level
  • Maximize efficient and effective use of resources, knowing how and when to leverage external partners, internal technical and functional resources, and BU expertise


What we look for:
  • 10+ years of experience focused on business transformation; delivering complex, cross-functional programs
  • Experience in effective ideation, facilitation, brainstorming, and business case development
  • Experience in supply chain operations, but with particular emphasis on procurement
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods or consumer industries is a plus, but not required
  • Experience in managing others and creating personal development plans

  • Demonstrated strategic ability to solve complex global cross-functional issues, exercising critical thinking and sound judgment

  • Proven leadership and people development skills of a substantial team of diverse individuals
  • Takes an enterprise view that considers and anticipates implications across multiple global stakeholders


Education Level/Degree:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or other related field
  • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus


Workplace type:
This role will be ideally based out of Alpharetta, GA or Oakland, CA. With this opportunity, the candidate will be in office 3x per week in accordance with the Hybrid 2.0 Policy.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

-Zone A: $179,500 - $369,700

-Zone B: $164,500 - $338,900

-Zone C: $149,600 - $308,100
