Title: Director, Procurement Operations
Salary Range: $158,000 - $174,000 Annually
Status: Exempt

GENERAL DISCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As a Director in the Procurement function, this role is a leadership role with broad operational, people development, and relationship building responsibilities. Over the next 12-24 months the role will focus on three things: 1. Developing the appropriate operating model for the future and transitioning the existing organization; 2. Developing the appropriate capabilities in terms of talent/skills/tools/governance; and 3. Building the foundation to drive effectiveness and efficiency in the Procurement function's approach to sourcing, supply continuity, and risk management, creating a value generating Procurement function that supports growth, stability, and innovation
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
• Assesses the Procurement Operations operating model, inclusive of organization, and recommends changes in structure, tools, systems, and enablement based on practical knowledge and experience
• Continually addresses the Procurement Operations team's individual "fit-for-role" assessments and recommends development needs that enhance the capabilities and competencies of the individuals on the team to promote greater effectiveness and efficiency for the overall function
• Leads the day to day Procurement Operations team focusing on strategy development and go-to-market execution support, market/supply/supplier data and analytics, supply continuity, supplier management programs, and reporting
• Creates a 'center of excellence' mindset and performance within Procurement Operations for data mining and analytics, and RFx tools
• Establishes a foundation for market analysis and tracking to support sourcing and risk management decision making
• Implements and optimizes Procurement systems, tools, and processes (e.g., ERP, P2P platforms, spend analytics) to increase the efficiency of the Procurement ways of working
• Develops with the Directors of Direct and Indirect Procurement, the procurement policies, governance, controls, and standard operating procedures to enable Procurement's control of spend management and protect ogC's branding externally
• Establishes and tracks KPIs for Procurement's performance in areas of cost, supplier performance, and compliance
• Leads supplier performance management/tracking to support supplier business reviews and corrective action planning
• Partners with R&D, Supply Chain/Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to lead/support project work, enable cost optimization, assure transparency in data and sourcing results
• Continually works on own personal development, functional and leadership competencies, with direction from the Sr. Director Procurement
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
• 8-10 years of Procurement experience with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles. Preferred leadership experience in Procurement Operations
• Demonstrated experience working across the varied functions within a typical Procurement organization, and with current state of the art Procurement tools designed for effectiveness, efficiency and support
• Deep understanding of the need for data driven decision making and experience in data mining and data analytics
• Practical experience in executing/enabling sourcing activities, go-to-market strategy development and execution, and supplier performance management
• Technically savvy with experience with ERPs. JD Edwards/AS400 system knowledge a plus and advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift (including overhead) up to 15 lbs.
WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to work beyond normal business hours, weekends and some company holidays as needed.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
• 4-year Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field required.
• MBA in business with a concentration in Procurement or Supply Chain would be preferred but not limiting.
