KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Practice Operations to join our Digital Nexus technology organization, directly supporting the Firmwide Data Officer. This is a hybrid work opportunity .
Responsibilities:
• Provide executive-level support to the Firmwide Data Officer, contributing to the strategic direction and operational management of the enterprise data organization
• Proactively identify priorities that require the attention and focus of senior leadership; own and continuously improve the data organization's operating cadence, including executive team meetings and leadership offsites
• Oversee team communications and engagement activities including newsletters, town halls, and leadership updates; support workforce planning, talent development, and financial oversight; provide operational guidance to leaders across the organization
• Create executive-level presentations with content which champion the data team's strategic data vision through advanced storytelling, articulating value; develop dashboards that provide meaningful insights and propose action steps for optimal business results; analyze relevant metrics in areas such as projects and portfolio management to ensure strategic objectives are met, driving informed decision-making and optimal business outcomes
• Own and manage assigned enablement activities across the organization, including onboarding, certifications, and continuous learning programs; monitor progress and ensure alignment with capability needs
• Direct special projects within the organization as assigned by the Firmwide Data Officer
• Participate in major data initiatives and programs as requested, representing the Firmwide Data Officer and/or the leadership team; collaborate with national practices and business enablement teams; represent the Firmwide Data Officer in operational areas when appropriate
• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
• Minimum ten years of recent experience supporting a data organization, operations, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Data and GenAI-related tools; knowledge of data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, cloud and hybrid cloud environments is a plus
• Ability to work independently and provide strategic advice to the Firmwide Data Officer across all operational areas, project intake, delivery and data operations; skill in collecting and analyzing data from various sources both within and outside the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to foster a team environment centered around customer service; capability to build strong professional relationships with the ability to influence all organizational levels
• Creative thinker able to identify innovative data solutions for business and set strategic initiatives for the team; ability to develop strategic organizational and resource plans, defining next-generation business and leadership needs
