What you'll be doing

The Tennessee Titans are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven, and mission-focused Director, Fundraising & Development. This position is a leadership role within the Tennessee Titans and Titans Foundation, responsible for driving fundraising activities, building donor relationships and maintaining the continuity of all community relationships with partners

The Director, Fundraising & Development is primarily responsible for executing a fundraising strategy to support the ongoing mission of the Foundation and community centered initiatives set by the organization. Using an innovative approach, the Director will serve as the lead fundraiser for all major gifts and planned giving programs, oversee stewardship & storytelling, and enhance the existing culture of philanthropy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strategic roadmap and fundraising plan to achieve significant revenue growth, targeting an annual goal of $4 million
  • Lead the overall philanthropic partnership strategy to ensure transparency and continuity in community programs supported by corporate, individual, and foundation contributions
  • Assist with maintaining official records and documents to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to the Foundation
  • Work closely with Leadership to understand budget projections related to fundraising to successfully identify objectives to meet year-over-year targets and goals
  • Build, manage and operate a revenue generating events strategy to enhance existing fundraisers and envision new opportunities for revenue growth including but not limited to formal functions, luncheons, golf tournaments, auctions, VIP donor experiences, 5K races and more
  • Manage existing fundraising activations such as the License Plate Program, 50/50 raffle, scoreboard messaging, auction platform, fan giving and more as well as spearheading potential new campaign activations that mobilize giving. This includes technology, revenue targets, and overall impact delivery
  • Champion the execution of new ways to engage Titans fans within the Foundation's mission as a part of Titans game days, Foundation related special events and fan centered activations
  • Management and implementation of all CRM platforms such as WizeHive, Donation Exchange, Raisers Edge, etc. And Online Giving & Peer to Peer Platforms such as Classy, GuideStar, etc. to be used for audits, tracking, and data insights
  • Collaborate extensively with the Tennessee Titans Corporate Partnerships and Activations, Client Hospitality (Reserve) teams on partnership and event fulfillment for the Foundation
  • Supervise the development team, including the Development and Partnerships Manager
  • Work collaboratively with the team and other departments to create impact reports, identify compelling storytelling opportunities and contribute pieces to curate compelling storytelling elements to drive donor engagement
  • Handle all other duties and projects as assigned


What you'll bring

Required Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years' professional experience; prior experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; work experience in lieu of degree could be considered
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate effectively across a range of management levels and styles, and across a variety of community groups and stakeholders
  • Strong ability to work on multiple projects with varying time constraints
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and a proven track record of success in relationship management, fundraising, and/or sales
  • Proven ability to build a robust network of contacts across all levels within the industry and the community, both internally and externally


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives
  • 5-7+ years of fundraising, development or philanthropy experience
  • Experience in Foundation, Nonprofit Management or Philanthropy
  • Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive (ACFRE), Certificate Fundraising Management (CFRM) and/or Certificate in Planned Giving Management (CPGM)
  • Familiarity with Donor Databases & CRM systems, Online Giving & Peer to Peer Platforms, and/or Professional Networks & Industry Resources

  • Communication: Serves as lead fundraiser and storyteller for the Foundation, crafting donor communications, impact reports, and compelling narratives that drive engagement.
  • Collaboration: Builds relationships and works well with Corporate Partnerships, Client Hospitality (Reserve), Leadership, and the broader community-partner network.
  • Accountability: Owns outcomes tied to the Foundation's $4 million annual revenue target and the responsibility for regulatory compliance and official Foundation records.
  • Strategic Thinking: Develops the strategic roadmap and fundraising plan, aligning with budget projections, and builds a multi-year culture of philanthropy.
  • Coaching & Development: Supervises and provides leadership support to the Community Development team.
  • Customer Development: Keeps the donor/fan experience central to how programs and events are designed.
