JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing clinical education and driving opportunities for the Perioperative product portfolio. Serves as a key member in evaluations, clinicals implementations, and acts as a liaison for department leaders and Clinical Sales Specialist.   Focuses on influencing clinical practice and operational efficiencies based on evidence-based best practices related to the hemodynamic monitoring of critical care, surgical oncology, and general surgery patients.  Assists customers to incorporate evidence-based standards and guidelines into clinical practice with a goal to improve clinical outcomes through the protocolized implementation of Masimo Perioperative technologies. Develops relationships, leads clinical training, and works closely with sales to develop and implement educational events for customers with the goal of sharing best practices and the safe adoption and use of Masimo Perioperative products. In addition, work closely with Marketing on all Perioperative Marketing collateral, sales tools, positioning documents, etc. Be the field conduit between the field and marketing and be the lead team member when rolling out marketing tools to the field. Furthermore, support Dr. Matta and his med affairs team with KOL development, etc. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key clinical customers across Perioperative portfolio providing clinical expertise.
  • Assist the sales professionals in choosing appropriate cases for evaluations, and then coaches clinicians throughout the case while advocating for Masimo technology.
  • Conduct clinical needs assessments, implement, and evaluate product conversions and support follow up activities of in-servicing and troubleshooting.
  • Identify and communicate customer insights toward the development of marketing programs, tools, and strategic plans in conjunction with the sales professionals.
  • Maintain and grow knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, enhanced recovery and goal directed fluid therapy trends and competitive threats through active participation in relevant associations.
  • Remain abreast of updated standards, recommendations, and guidelines by influential associations.
  • Utilize evidence-based research to support clinical practice recommendations to customers.
  • Provide timely and efficient completion of tasks including expense reports, internal and external communication, conferences etc., market intelligence, internal market surveys, communicating competitor intelligence, logging and documenting reports and customer contact information to applicable CRM tool. 
  • Work directly with the Acute Team Area Clinical Specialist Manager to coordinate Product Implementations within the Region.
  • Coach and mentor new hire Clinical Sales Specialists during Field Training portion of the New Hire Training Process.
  • Plan, organize and deliver educational presentations to employees.
  • Responsible for leading project and providing support to Clinical Sales Specialists.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned. 

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 + years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Experience within critical care.
  • Demonstrates strong critical care knowledge.
  • Self- motivated.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Innovative and solutions oriented.
  • Computer literacy and expertise in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid full driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to utilize evidence and best practices to influence and drive clinical outcomes.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment or to work independently.
  • Ability to travel 50%.

 

Education:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse preferred.
