Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for Director, Patient Data Strategy & Operations.

Purpose:

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to assume the role of Director, Patient Data Strategy & Operations. This individual will act as the data quarterback for Patient Data for all TAs and across Patient Services Organization and will lead the patient data strategy, management, AI for patient data, and operations for the current portfolio and future launches.

The Director will be the primary point of contact for leading and coordinating Patient Data Strategy and all activities related to the consumption and transformation of patient data from ingestion, validations, tokenization, harmonization, certification, and creation of compliant Integrated Patient Data, to the ongoing downstream solutions via data products, patient data analytics platforms, etc.

This individual governs all business process rules and provides regular communications regarding status of patient data quality, operations, and impact of market events. Director will collaborate with patient data partners and agencies on data acquisition and contracting and ensuring value for data-related investments. Functioning as a subject matter authority, they will support all patient data-centric business questions, and will partner with IT, Patient Experience, and other business partners to proactively resolve data issues and support large, complex data initiatives. The Director will lead multiple TA and Patient Services specific teams to support Patient Data initiatives, AI patient data programs, and Master Service Provider (MSP) patient data initiatives.

You will be responsible for:

  • Own the overall strategy,, management, and operations of patient data for the all TAs, Patient Services/Patient Experience, overseeing the strategy, operations, and ongoing quality of the data assets (HUB, patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, claims, data tokenization process etc.)

  • Lead the ongoing quality and application of JJIM data pipeline supporting the insights & analytics, patient experience, sales and marketing organization, ensuring high-quality data and appropriate use.

  • Act as key contact, or 3data quarterback4 within the StAT organization for patient data related needs, queries, and issues and advise business and stakeholder teams on the best data sources to leverage for a given business question or insight.

  • Lead the data governance program for the patient data for the all JJIM portfolio; actively supervise data quality and resolve data-related issues and disruptions.

  • Lead data change management/ issue resolution/ data integration projects for existing products and new launches 6 build project plans, perform validation and change management activities.

  • Lead AI initiatives for Patient Data Improvement, patient tokenization/Superstacking, to deliver compliant Integrated Patient Data.

  • Leas all patient data Master Service Provide (MSP) initiatives

  • Lead patient data strategy, sourcing and acquisition, patient data management & operations, data solutions & enablement

  • Lead data-centric projects to resolution, through resource management, execution, and communication (e.g., data onboarding, data events/disruptions).

  • Collaborate with internal business partners on data validation and data coordination activities for stakeholders, and reports/systems.

  • Engage business process owners to align on the action plan on the mitigation of data events/changes on various commercial operations processes

  • Responsible for leading annual data purchase or processing budgets for assigned portfolio, build POs and collaborate with finance, procurement and business owners on supervising spending.

  • Maintain inventory of purchased data and promote organizational awareness of application of data in relevant use cases.

  • Participate in the evaluation of new data sources that may provide new insights, competitive advantage and help advise future data strategy.

  • Ensure that data vendors align with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by ensuring data quality, timely delivery, errors reported, time to resolution to data inquiries, account services etc.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Validated experience of 15+ years in roles related to patient data, patient data strategy, data management, analytics, insights or other commercial excellence areas within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, Analytics or Health Sciences is required. A masters or PhD degree or equivalent experience is an asset.

  • Advanced knowledge of data sources/products and expertise in using pharma industry including first party data (HUB, Patient Support Programs, etc.), second party data (Specialty pharmacy), and syndicated/secondary data from leading vendors- IQVIA, Komodo, Symphony, SPP, patient claims, RWE/HEOR, IDN/ACO Affiliations.

  • Experience with AI patient data applications, AI leadership, and AI vision for patient data.

  • Previous experience in establishing and leading data partnerships with external vendors.

  • Strong grasp of data analytics, AI, and machine learning concepts and their application to business operations.

  • Knowledge of data querying/business intelligence tools and systems that allow for effective management of large data sets is required.

  • Understanding of data governance standard methodologies, and strong understanding of data lifecycle, data quality, metadata, and data management.

  • Critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities based on meticulous data analysis and interpretation.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate optimally across cross-functional teams and work well with senior leadership.

  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and industry-specific compliance considerations.

  • The preferred location for this position is in Titusville, NJ with consideration to be in Horshan, PA.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $150,000 to $258,750 USD.
