Full Job Description
your impact @ starface

Starface is seeking a Director, Partnerships, Collabs, & PR to help bring our brand to life through culture, collaboration, meaningful relationships, and earned media. In this role, you'll report into the SVP of Brand, and lead the sourcing, development, and management of high-impact partnerships across talent, brands, licensed IP, and experiential moments, while overseeing the day-to-day relationship with our PR agency.

You'll be plugged into what's happening across music, entertainment, fashion, beauty, and culture, using strong industry relationships and sharp brand instincts to identify opportunities that feel distinctly Starface. You'll bring new ideas and partners to the table, manage inbound opportunities, help structure deals, and own the details that turn an exciting partnership, event, or campaign into a successful launch.

The right person for this role is highly connected, commercially savvy, exceptionally organized, and equally comfortable developing relationships as they are managing the operational details behind complex partnerships, events, and PR programs. You're a fit if you understand how talent relationships, brand collaborations, and licensing deals work, and know what it takes to move an opportunity from an initial conversation through contract, launch, and recap.

At Starface, we find fun, lead with care, aim high, stay curious, and move forward. We love people who defy convention and welcome an attitude of exploration into the bold and creative in all that we do. If you're a relationship builder who understands culture, knows how great partnerships get made, and loves turning ambitious ideas into reality-and all of this resonates with you so far-please keep reading!
we'll count on you to

Partnerships & Talent
  • Develop the partnership strategy and identify new categories, whitespace, and opportunities across brand collaborations, talent, ambassador programs, retail partnerships, licensed IP, and experiential and cultural moments, ensuring alignment with Starface's positioning, growth priorities, and relevant consumer trends
  • Field and evaluate inbound requests from talent, agencies, brands, retailers, and other potential partners, identifying the strongest fits for Starface
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with talent, managers, agents, agencies, brands, and other strategic partners, serving as a key day-to-day point of contact
  • Support the negotiation and structuring of partnership, talent, and licensing deals-including scope, economics, rights, usage, exclusivity, approvals, and deliverables-in partnership with the SVP of Brand

Deal, Licensing & Partnership Operations
  • Draft and redline partnership and talent contracts, routing agreements through Legal review and VP approval before execution
  • Manage partnerships from signed agreement through launch, including partner communication, check-ins, timelines, approvals, asset collection, and the tracking and enforcement of contractual deliverables on both sides
  • Identify and address partnership risks, execution gaps, and missed deadlines
  • Administer licensing agreement operations, including partner approvals, product and asset requirements, line sheets, retail listing coordination, and post-launch reporting
  • Maintain a clear repository of active and past partnership terms, rates, rights, deliverables, performance, and renewal opportunities to support future negotiations

Cross-Functional Execution
  • Own the collaboration and partnership calendar, sequencing launches, activations, contractual milestones, and renewal dates in alignment with Retail and Brand Marketing calendars
  • Partner closely with Brand Marketing, Creative, Social, Influencer, Product, Retail, Operations, Legal, and external partners to ensure assets, content, products, and programs are delivered on schedule and launch smoothly
  • Manage partnership and event budgets, vendors, invoices, and payments in coordination with Finance
  • Build and share recap decks with leadership, tracking partnership and event deliverables, performance, outcomes, and key learnings to inform future opportunities

PR
  • Set PR strategy and priorities with the agency and manage the relationship day to day, including scope of work, campaign briefs, asset needs, deliverables, timelines, and escalations across launches, activations, and events
  • Track agency deliverables and press coverage against the campaign calendar, flagging execution gaps or missed deliverables to the VP of Brand Marketing
  • Support the preparation of press releases, statements, messaging, and other materials ahead of agency distribution
  • Help prepare leadership and spokespeople for interviews, podcasts, and other media appearances
this role is for you if

  • You have strong commercial judgment and contract, vendor, and budget management skills, and are comfortable supporting deal negotiations
  • You have experience managing or briefing an external PR agency and holding partners accountable to scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • You're a natural relationship builder who can confidently work with talent, agents, managers, agencies, brand executives, vendors, and other senior external partners
  • You're highly organized and deadline-driven, with the ability to manage multiple active deals, launches, budgets, events, and partner relationships at once
  • You can balance creative instincts with commercial and operational thinking
  • You're proactive, resourceful, and comfortable owning day-to-day execution in a fast-moving, collaborative environment while deferring final brand-fit and strategic decisions to the VP of Brand Marketing
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and a sharp instinct for what feels relevant, differentiated, and unmistakably Starface
