The Role:Reporting to the Vice President of Partnerships, this individual will be responsible for leading the Partnership Marketing team and delivering the highest level of client service while also being a proactive marketer to help uncover additional upsell opportunities based on partner objectives. The Director, Partnership Marketing for Gotham FC is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of all activities within assigned Partner Accounts. This person will be the main day-to-day liaison with key partnerships such as the Gotham FC jersey partners, training center naming rights partner, and others.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the Partnership Marketing team and ensure goals are met and team members understand the path to success, growth, and additional opportunities.
- Oversee strategy and implementation of each account, including analyzing contracts, ensuring the delivery of assets, and providing EOY recaps.
- Proactively think to drive marketing initiatives that go above and beyond the baseline of the contract.
- Lead renewal efforts for current partner contracts and provide insights based on market research and information gathered from partner conversations, history, and relationships.
- Proactively generate new ideas for new sponsorship opportunities, including in-game elements and retail promotions to grow partner business.
- Effectively present information to sponsors and internal stakeholders and answer any questions that arise.
- Support planning and execution for player appearances, community events, and youth soccer clinics with partner investment.
- Manage in-game activations in collaboration with the game day operations team and the fan experience team, such as seat upgrade promotions, coin toss, etc.
- Lead special projects as requested.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in strategic brand and partnership marketing
- Strong project management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple accounts, activations, and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve challenges proactively.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, home matches, and other events as required.
Capabilities & Other Characteristics: - Basic understanding of sports business affairs such as rights management, contract negotiations, and player activations
- Creative strategist with the ability to conceptualize client solutions
- Strong understanding of sports and entertainment sponsorships, including promotions, events, media, and contracts

Location: Based at Gotham FC's business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule that consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events, as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team's soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC's offices, practice facility, and Sport Illutirated Arena.

Salary range: $130,000 - $155,000 + bonus eligible
