Job Title: Director of Outpatient - Valley Springs Behavioral Health
Job Type: Fulltime, Days
Schedule: Typically, 8am-5pm
How You'll Contribute
• Ensures consistent implementation and delivery of all approved clinical programs and therapeutic services.
• Provides supervision, feedback, training, and performance evaluation for therapists, including coaching or corrective action when necessary.
• Ensures all therapeutic interventions-individual, group, and family-are delivered and documented in accordance with professional clinical standards.
• Conducts routine audits of patient charts to verify compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Actively participates in accreditation and regulatory survey activities.
• Ensures timely completion of all required reports, including weekly updates, performance improvement audits, financial reviews, and quarterly summaries.
• Participates consistently in treatment team meetings to support interdisciplinary communication and coordinated care.
• Collaborates with nursing staff to ensure timely medical evaluations for all patients.
• Ensures therapists clearly communicate therapeutic goals, treatment plans, and roles to patients and families.
• Participates in complaint resolution processes and supports timely, effective service recovery.
• Oversees completion of required patient surveys and assessments in accordance with organizational policy.
• Collaborates with the Outpatient Coordinator to address and resolve daily transportation needs or concerns.
• Identifies and cultivates new referral sources while maintaining strong relationships with existing partners.
• Works collaboratively with internal departments to support patient engagement, access, and continuity of high-quality care across the continuum.
• Partners with People Services, Quality, Business Office, HIM, and Utilization Review to support recruitment, retention, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, and resolution of authorization or denial issues.

What we are looking for:
• master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field from an accredited school required.
• Independent Counseling or Social Work license required per state regulations.
• Three years of clinical experience in an inpatient or outpatient behavioral health care setting required.
• Three years of experience working with patient populations served at the facility required.
• CPR certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
• De-escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to completion of orientation.
Salary Range: $111,300 - $150,238
