Full Job Description
This management position is responsible for the operations for the WH in Tracy, CA with responsibility for 120+ employees. Manages the education and training programs relating to safety and risk for all employees.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Operations Management for the region

Including, but not limited to:
  • Facility management
  • Supply requisition
  • Employee hiring, firing, training and record-keeping
  • Preparing, writing and conducting employee performance reviews and recommending appropriate merit increases
  • Participating in developing, modifying and executing company policies and procedures
  • Shipping
  • Receiving
  • Inventory Control


Manages various business goals including, but not limited to:
  • Labor Rate Goal as a percentage of sales
  • Productivity Goals
  • Receiving and Put-away Specification Goals
  • High Velocity Bins Replenishment
  • Shipping Specification Goals
  • Shipping Accuracy (Shipping errors)
  • Inventory Accuracy (Ghost Inventory, Cycle adjustments, etc.)
  • Safety and department security


Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline with a minimum of 8 -10 years of related WH management expertise or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Warehouse procedures, forklift training, licensing, hazardous materials, worker's compensation, disaster recovery, evacuation, and materials handling
  • Worker's compensation
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of related operations/warehouse experience
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of people management experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with shipping, receiving and inventory control processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated business communications skills, including negotiations and presentations skills
  • Familiarity with and ability to use Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel throughout the US (25%)
  • Current driver's license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record

  • Schedules and On-time performance (i.e. meeting daily shipping schedule, maintains high level of "on-time delivery" performance

  • Required to make informed decisions that affect department operations resulting in negative or positive impact to the company, vendors and customers.
  • Resource and budget planning
  • Manages labor, materials and overhead cost control (i.e. traces losses, solves discrepancy problems, meeting daily shipping schedule, assures inventory control)
  • Manages schedules and On-time performance (i.e. meeting daily shipping schedule, maintains high level of "on-time delivery" performance

  • Guiding and advising the senior leadership team
  • Actively participate in industry organizations and represent the company in their meetings
  • Represents and functions as a liaison to attorneys, governmental regulatory agencies, insurance companies and individuals, investigating any incidences that may result in asset, property or human loss
  • Meets and works with the company's executive management team and make presentations
  • Point of contact for emergency personnel
