Job Description: SUMMARYEnsures the Office of the Presidentfunctions with efficiency, accountability, and strategic foresight. Provides fiscalstewardship, operational leadership, and the planning and execution ofinstitutional events that reinforce Vision 2030 and the College's mission.
Manages budgets, coordinateshigh-profile events, and leads institutional planning efforts for presidentialinitiatives, the Director strengthens the Office as a hub of organizationalexcellence. Collaborates and complements the Chief of Staff and the ExecutiveDirector for Presidential Strategy, Engagement, and Impact by focusing onoperations, planning, and execution.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the planning and execution of collegewide events coordinated through the Office of the President, including All-Employee Convening, staff development sessions, milestone celebrations, and other institutional events.
- Coordinates planning processes that ensure these events reinforce organizational culture, strategic priorities, and community trust.
- Partners with divisions, campuses, facilities, and external vendors to deliver seamless, high-quality events.
- Develops, manages, and strengthens collaborative relationships across the College, works collaboratively with all college departments.
- Manages budgets, accounts payable/receivable, and vendor contracts related to events. Ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance in financial operations.
- Develops and maintains systems for budget forecasting, reporting, and resource allocation. Leveraging collegewide systems to provide accurate data related to event expenses.
- Develops and manages operational plans that translate presidential initiatives into actionable events, timelines, and deliverables.
- Supports the design of listening tours, civic dialogues, and stakeholder forums as part of institutional planning processes.
- Prepares briefing materials and follow-up reports that capture insights and inform institutional decision-making.
- Leads operational improvement projects to enhance the effectiveness of the Office of the President and college systems and processes.
- Builds and maintains project management systems that improve coordination and accountability.
- Provides adaptive problem-solving and troubleshooting across office functions.
- Supervises vendors, event teams and temporary staff as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, communications, or related field.
- Significant related experience may substitute for education
- Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience in operations, event planning, operations, or program administration.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and coordinating high-profile events.

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
- Master's Degree in a related field
Target Starting Salary Range: $85,000 to $92,000
The final offer for the successful candidate is targeted to fall within this range but will be based upon an assessment of internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred job requirement(s). Special Note: If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
