Work Sponsorship: Summit Midstream will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. DOT Compliance: Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions per PHMSA or FMSCA. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage. Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements, perform required tasks, and complete associated documentation (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)

Competitive salary range of: $187,000 to $234,900

Summary:

The Director, Area Operations is responsible for the supervision of staff that maintain and work with compressors, high- and low-pressure systems, metering and associated equipment.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work with compression, field pipelines and measurement
  • Successful customer relations
  • Assist in the hiring efforts of employee into the operational area
  • Work with Operations personnel to troubleshoot any problems that originate at the field level
  • Work independently with little supervision
  • Must have a strong work ethic with an emphasis on safety

Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 10 Years minimum of relevant experience preferred
  • 5 years minimum of leadership experience
  • Various compressor packages and pipeline knowledge preferred
  • A strong working knowledge of Natural Gas Assets is a must
  • A strong ability to interact with Land Owners and Customers

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds occasionally, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects
  • Able to bend and stoop for filing
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.,
  • Able to view computer terminal for long periods of time
  • Manual dexterity for operating computer and office equipment., etc.
  • Must be reliable and able to work in all weather conditions
  • Applicant must be able to pass a drug screening test as well as a background check
  • Work is performed in an office environment and/or field environment
  • Must be available to travel in and out of state helping other Summit assets in other areas of the country
