Full Job Description
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Deciem is seeking a strategic, tech-savvyDirector of Online Development & Enablement to lead our digital development efforts across our brand.com sites. This role will oversee internal developers, contractors, and agency partners to deliver seamless online experiences, consistent delivery, and impactful digital initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise, leadership, and business acumen to align development efforts with organizational priorities. This position is full-time and permanent and will be based out of our Head Office located in Liberty Village, this position offers a hybrid work schedule.

PAY RANGE

The anticipated base salary for this position is $175,000 to $190,000.

Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
  • Manage and mentor a blended team of internal developers, contractors, and external agencies, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Oversee the daily technology operations of all brand.com sites, ensuring site stability, performance, and customer experience excellence.
  • Implement processes for regular maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of online platforms.
  • Oversee technology budgets totaling $15M-$20M in annual commitments.
  • Continuously assess and optimize the tech stack to drive measurable value for the broader business.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define digital roadmaps that align with company objectives.
  • Ensure that initiative timelines are clearly communicated, tracked, and delivered on time and to specification.
  • Continuously assess developer capacity, balancing resources against shifting priorities and urgent business needs.
  • Align development teams around initiatives that maximize impact and business value and Act as the primary liaison between technology and business teams, translating requirements into actionable development plans.
  • Drive transparency in project progress, capacity, and timelines through clear reporting and communication and Champion agile practices to improve delivery velocity and adaptability.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced technical certifications are a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in web development, digital technology, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Salesforce Cloud Platforms, specifically Commerce, Core, and Marketing
  • Familiarity with Shopify Enterprise, Shopify Plus, and Cloud Computing (i.e. Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and CI/CD pipelines.
