Job Description

The Director of WIC is responsible for overall planning, implementation and coordination of all activities and provision of services at all WIC sites. Performs job duties in compliance with systems and job specific standards.

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $75,257 to $100,409 annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Attends meetings, training sessions and other required WIC activities.
  • Works in collaboration with sponsoring agency and DOH to develop and manage WIC budget, caseload and annual local agency compliance and self assessment and local agency policy and procedure manual
  • Works closely with local agency breastfeeding, nutrition and outreach coordinator to develop, improve and modify education plans
  • Provide guidance and direct leadership to the site supervisors, overseeing all WIC sites and services and ensure compliance with all federals regulations and state policies
  • Prepares and tracks budgets with organizational Finance staff
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the WIC program at the various sites. Assures consistency in implementation of all program components.
  • Ensure collaboration with intra-agency staff, health care providers and community- based organizations

Requirements:

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Public Health or Public Administration required.

Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Nutrition, Public Health or Public Health preferred
