Full Job Description
We're looking for a Director of US Production to bring their passion, leadership, and expertise to our team in Torrance, CA. If you share our passion for beautiful cars, thrive on details, and want to be part of something extraordinary, this is your chance.

Why You'll Love This Role:
  • You'll be responsible for ensuring that Singer vehicles are manufactured and delivered at the required production volumes within manufacturing, delivery, quality, and cost requirements.
  • You'll oversee all aspects of the Singer US production operations for the following departments: Sub Assembly, Electronics, Interiors, and Final Assembly.
  • The Director of Operations leads the team that builds products in a manner that shows "Everything is Important."


What You'll Do:
  • You'll drive accelerated business growth and output by effectively hiring, onboarding, and building high performing teams of automotive and production professionals.
  • The Director of Production manages current and future expansion of production capacity, facility/footprint consolidation, including in-sourcing of operations required to support bill of materials and labor costs per budget.
  • You will actively lead the Production Operations organization to achieve production milestones per the operating plan and scalability to achieve long range business objectives and participate as a senior leader in the creation and execution Singer's strategy and business operations.
  • Some of your goals will be to achieve production labor cost rates at or below operating plan, deploy lean manufacturing principles to ensure efficient manufacturing best practices and create a safe working environment and ensure workplace safety best practices.
  • You will demonstrate leadership by working in a cross-functional team environment with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals and create organizational culture aligned to Singer's Operating Values, driving rigorous process adherence.


Who We're Looking For:
  • We're seeking a hands-on, roll up the sleeves leader who reflects the values of the Singer such as, "Everything is Important".
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, and bonus points for master's degree.
  • We're seeking 10+ years of leadership experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Bonus points for luxury automotive industry experience or similar and/or experience in a high-growth environment.
  • You will have effective written and verbal communications skills and be team-oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines.
  • We're seekingexcellent data analytics, presentation, and reporting experience, with the ability to generate and present information to the organization, including creating accurate metrics and narratives describing operating results, root cause analysis for problems, and opportunities for improvement


Location & Schedule:

This is a fully onsite role in Torrance, CA. The team you will be leading works Monday - Friday 5am-1:30pm with some overtime.

The starting pay range for this position is between $169,037 - $225,382 plus bonus. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
