Position Summary

The Director of Undergraduate Admissions serves as a lead administrator and provides strategic and operational leadership for the recruitment and enrollment of traditional undergraduate students. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies for high school and transfer students, leading and developing the admissions team, strengthening strategic recruitment relationships, and collaborating across the University to achieve annual undergraduate enrollment and financial goals.

The Director of Undergraduate Admissions is expected to lead with initiative, collaboration, strategic thinking, and a commitment to Taylor University's mission. The Director will lead the admissions team in achieving results through intentional yield efforts, effective enrollment management, and a focus on recruiting students who are missionally aligned, academically prepared, and positioned to thrive within Taylor's Christ-centered community.

Duties and Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible to:

  • Testify to personal experience of salvation in Jesus Christ, affirm belief in the University's Statement of Faith, abide by and practice the Life Together Covenant, and personally agree with and support the Foundational Documents of Taylor University.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the undergraduate admissions team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and mission-aligned culture.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive undergraduate recruitment strategies, establish enrollment and geographic territory goals, and monitor admissions data and team performance to achieve annual enrollment targets.
  • Oversee admissions operations, including counselor travel, campus visits, recruitment events, application review, admissibility standards, policies, processes, and systems.
  • Partner with Financial Aid, Marketing, Intercultural Programs, Global Engagement, faculty, and other University departments to advance enrollment, discount-rate, recruitment, and student success goals.
  • Develop and strengthen strategic recruitment relationships with feeder high schools, churches, Christian camps, alumni families, community organizations, and other partners to expand Taylor's recruitment pipeline and reach new markets.
  • Identify emerging recruitment opportunities and develop strategies to strengthen legacy recruitment, student diversity, and sustainable enrollment growth.
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, evaluate, and provide professional development for admissions staff while recognizing and promoting team success.
  • Manage the undergraduate admissions budget and strategically allocate resources to support enrollment priorities.
  • Represent Undergraduate Admissions on University committees and in institutional discussions related to admissions, enrollment, policies, and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Typical Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Progressive professional experience in undergraduate admissions, enrollment management, recruitment, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, coaching, and developing a professional team.
• Experience developing and executing recruitment strategies and using enrollment data to monitor progress toward goals.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, and operational priorities.
• Experience building strategic relationships with schools, churches, community organizations, alumni, and other recruitment partners preferred.
