Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Working under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Treatment is a visible leader responsible for managing the Counseling Department. This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of client educational/therapeutic activities; clinical and administrative supervision of counseling staff; review and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures; design, monitoring, and participation in departmental CQI activities; utilization review and supervision of admission activities to determine appropriate levels of care; development and implementation of program changes designed to meet the needs of the population served.

DUTIES:
  • Provide clinical oversight and supervision of counselors, treatment aids, and support services staff.
  • Provide individual and group counseling in accordance to treatment plans and professional industry standards.
  • Maintain documentation, client files, and data management as required by agency policies and funding sources.
  • Utilize and implement best evidence-based practices, research and programming trends.
  • Possess current knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques, judicial systems and community resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree required (preferably in social work, human services, behavioral health);
  • CAC-AD;
  • Must have at least 3 solid years of work experience in substance and behavioral health services;
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in the capacity of administrative supervision and oversight.
