Full Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Operations & Technology and partnering closely with the Chief People Officer and executive leadership team, the Director of Total Rewards is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing and scaling a world-class Total Rewards function. This is a unique greenfield opportunity to build and modernize compensation, benefits, incentive programs, recognition strategies, and Total Rewards infrastructure that support business growth, employee engagement, and a high-performance culture.

The Director will lead the development and execution of compensation philosophy, job architecture, salary structures, pay-for-performance programs, sales commissions, incentive plans, executive compensation support, and benefits strategy. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders on compensation and rewards matters while ensuring market competitiveness, internal equity, compliance, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, brings deep expertise in compensation and Total Rewards, and thrives in fast-paced, transformational environments. They will leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and help position the organization as an employer of choice. This role currently manages one direct report and offers significant opportunity for growth and expanded leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's Total Rewards strategy, compensation philosophy, and reward programs.
  • Design and manage salary structures, job architecture, market pricing, incentive plans, commissions, and annual compensation planning processes.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure compensation programs attract, retain, and motivate top talent while supporting business objectives.
  • Lead compensation benchmarking, pay equity analysis, governance, compliance, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with People, Finance, Legal, and business leaders on compensation and benefits programs.
  • Support benefits strategy and vendor management in partnership with People Operations.
  • Build scalable processes, systems, policies, and analytics to support organizational growth and acquisitions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Total Rewards team.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive Total Rewards and compensation leadership experience.
  • Expertise in broad-based compensation, incentive design, job architecture, market pricing, and pay-for-performance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation regulations, pay transparency, FLSA, and related employment laws.
  • Experience with compensation and HR systems such as UKG, Salary.com, Xactly, and market survey platforms.
  • Proven ability to build programs, influence executives, and drive change in high-growth environments.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
