Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Director of Systems Engineering oversees the Process Improvement Department, develops goals and plans that complement the support of the operational and quality hospital improvement goals, and fulfills operational management expectations regarding fiscal efficiency, education, communication, and community. The Director of Systems Engineering directly supervises systems engineers and support staff, including evaluation and coaching. Ensures professional growth of staff, supports process improvement teams by advising on project scope and assisting with Lean/Six Sigma tools and improvement strategies. Develops and supervises quality improvement patient safety projects, assists in department strategies, maintains departmental budget, and continuously evaluates resource needs in maintaining relationships with Upstate Community and clinical system resources. Provide support, education, and training surrounding the principles of process redesign and improvement activities throughout the organization. Position duties and educational requirements as set forth are appropriate to the MACCC standard for T.H. Associate Director of Management Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in applied Statistics, Systems, Industrial Engineering or Mathematics with at least 5 years directly related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree preferred. Advanced specialized training in Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
