Full Job Description
This job is responsible for developing, managing, and integrating a comprehensive, system quality and performance improvement program. Collaborates with executive system quality leaders, service line leaders, and division quality leaders to identify, analyze, and trend key performance indicators to implement successful solutions. Additionally, manages system documentation effectiveness program that engages HIM, IS, quality, and physician leaders in improvement strategies associated with accurate clinical documentation. Assures accurate data, timely analysis, and addresses the application of reported data to support performance improvement and project management activities. The Director independently makes decisions that could seriously affect overall and strategic results. Work Experience Required - 10 years' experience in healthcare leadership; Experience with healthcare quality, relational databases, and systems analysis; Experience with robust process improvement; Experience with documentation effectiveness tools (Crimson, Truven, 3M, Tableau, Vizient CDB) and analysis of ICD-10-CM data relating to externally reported quality methodologies including AHRQ PSI and CMS HAC. Certifications Preferred - Active Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) 3 Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally. 3 Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. 3 Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. 3 Analytical skills and ability to use a logical process to formulate practical solutions. 3 Strong decision-making, delegation, and leadership skills and the ability to demonstrate good judgement. 3 Excellent time management skills and self-direction. 3 Maintains and enhances professional competency. Job Duties 3 Develops, manages, and integrates a comprehensive, system quality and performance improvement program that supports system quality strategic initiatives. 3 Manages and continuously evaluates improvement of key performance indicators. 3 Monitors progress on strategic plans and recommends updates to senior executive quality leaders. 3 Serves as a system quality and performance improvement partner to service line leaders and division quality leaders. 3 Manages documentation effectiveness program that engages HIM, IS, quality, and physician leaders in improvement strategies associated with clinical documentation. 3 Develops personnel and workforce. 3 Participates in long strategic planning that supports the company mission. 3 Performs other related duties as assigned.
