Job Summary

Responsible for directing and coordinating the management of Surgical Services (i.e., Endoscopy, Day Surgery, Surgery, and Anesthesia Services) on a 24/7 basis and CSR; trains and monitors personnel who assist physicians in preparing and performing patient surgery. Plans, organizes and administers departmental service functions. Assigns duties to and evaluates staff performance; ensures staff follows physician orders. Identifies patient care issues and develops solutions. Compiles required reports and investigates complaints to resolve complaints. Hires and trains unit personnel; provides instruction for personnel on new techniques, procedures, and/or equipment. Responds to quality issues and ensures any problems are rectified.

Requirements: Associate's degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Possess current MN license. Minimum of three (3) years' experience preferred in a leadership/management role. At least two (2) years clinical experience preferred in one or more areas of clinical, acute care nursing and surgical services. Certificates in BCLS, ACLS or other required, or the ability to obtain and maintain within one (1) year of hire. Labor relations experience is preferred. Requires competent English written and verbal communication skills, be capable of effectively interacting with all levels of staff.

Wage

Depending on your work experience, you could earn an annual salary of $100,989 up to $151,483.
