Summary for Director of Surgical Services - Morton Plant Hospital:
- Participates in planning, policy development and priority setting. Ensures that surgical services and other assigned clinical areas have policies that are consistent with the overall goals of the health system.
- Ensures compliance in the provision of care to quality and safety standards.
- Maintains a competent workforce adhering to regulatory guidelines (financial, employment, AHCA/JCAHO) and established national standards of care.
- Collaborates with other directors, administrators, medical staff and other departments to provide and maintain optimal services in a cost effective manner.
- Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education equivalent experience:
- Required - Bachelors - Nursing or related field
- Preferred - Masters - Nursing or related field
Credentials:
- Required - Registered Nurse (RN)
- Preferred - Cert Operating Room Nurse (CNOR)
Experience:
- Required - Management experience
