Full Job Description
Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid, 2-3 days on-site)Reports to: VP, Business DevelopmentSalary Range: $160,000 - $180,000 (DOE)
The 30,000 Foot View:

At NOYZ, we move fast, think big and play where culture is created - not copied. This is a team that moves fast, embraces creative freedom and storytelling, while having fun doing things differently. After a breakout year of explosive growth, we are looking for a Director of Brand Marketing to join our team.

This person will serve as a strategic and executional right hand to the SVP of Marketing, helping shape the work, independently leading key priorities, and translating broader direction into exceptional execution across the organization.
The What it Takes:

Supply Chain Strategy & Scale:
  • Own end-to-end strategy across sourcing, production, logistics and distribution
  • Build the infrastructure to absorb accelerated growth and rising SKU and channel complexity
  • Pressure test the network and set step-change targets (ie lead times cut in half)
  • Translate capability needs into a 3 year roadmap with clear investment gates

Cost Optimization & Margin Improvement:
  • Own the COGS agenda and drive the cost-savings pipeline through to realized savings
  • Partner with Business Development to model margin impact of launch mix, kits and channel shifts
  • Negotiate terms, MOQs and lead times that improve landed cost without trading away quality
  • Build cost visibility by component, SKU and channel to make margin trade-offs explicit

Supplier Strategy & Risk:
  • Build a diversified supplier network and reduce single-source dependency
  • Manage geographic diversification and tariff and duty exposure
  • Own supplier selection, scorecarding and review cadence with clear accountability
  • Build contingency plans for supply, quality and compliance disruption before they are needed

Inventory & Demand Alignment:
  • Own inventory strategy, safety stock and coverage targets that protect fill rate and cash
  • Convert the demand forecast into an executable supply plan with Business Development
  • Drive a monthly S&OP rhythm that aligns sales, marketing, finance and operations
  • Manage retailer fill rate, on-time delivery, routing compliance and chargeback exposure

Innovation & Launch Readiness:
  • Partner with PD to support an increasing innovation cadence
  • Own the launch critical path and surface timing, cost or execution risk early
  • Balance innovation ambition with feasibility and bring solutions, not just constraints

Execution & Cross-Functional Partnership:
  • Manage a Senior Coordinator, delegating execution to keep your time on strategy and negotiation
  • Create the processes, systems and reporting the function needs where none exist today
  • Bring recommendations rather than status updates to monthly business reviews

The Uniquely Celebrated Skills As:
  • An elevated leader who owns decisions with anticipation instead of escalating them.
  • A self-motivated builder that balances operational discipline with growth enablement.
  • A flexible self-starter that thrives with a solution-oriented, startup mentality.
  • An influential communicator that brings recommendations, not updates.
  • A sharp negotiator that protects margin and supplier relationships at the same time.
  • A data-informed strategist who understands the margin implications of supply chain choices.
  • An experienced sprinter in early-stage brands where urgency, pace and agility were keys to success.

What We Offer That's Uniquely NOYZ:
  • A rare chance to shape a brand from its earliest inflection point.
  • Operational freedom
  • A fast-paced, no-BS environment that values experimenting, ambition, and connection

The Must-Haves:
  • 8+ years in supply chain, planning and operations roles that are both strategic and executional
  • Experience managing a complex network of 3PLs, freight forwarders, distributors and international factories
  • Proven ownership of COGS, landed cost and margin improvement with quantified results
  • Exceptional analytical and reporting skills with a data-driven approach to strategy and execution
  • Strong project management skills; you create timelines and budgets, and stick to them
  • Experience managing a direct report, with the instinct to delegate execution
  • Willing to build infrastructure from scratch, with the growing pains that come with it
  • The capacity to influence cross-functionally through data

The Nice-To-Haves:
  • Fragrance or beauty experience, including components, fills, compliance and hazmat shipping
  • International expansion experience launching new markets, retail partners or distributor models
  • Startup or challenger brand experience where you built the function rather than inherited it
  • Experience implementing or upgrading planning and ERP systems through a period of scale
