About the role:

We are looking for someone passionate about powering the world's most thrilling driving experience from the ground up. As Director of Supply Chain, you'll build a high-performing global sourcing organization capable of running low-volume, highly complex parts with premium fit and finish. Drive hardware gross margins and command a multi-facility network to get premium performance parts into our customers' hands faster than anyone else in the industry.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
  • Cultivate a high-performing culture rooted in accountability and our core values, using all elements of LMA.
  • Quickly get the right parts to customers in key global markets, providing a high level of on time delivery.
  • Stand behind product quality from the supplier through to the customer's doorstep.
  • Recover backorders quickly and drive down our average backorder duration.
  • Keep supplier, order, and inventory data clean so margin and quality reporting can be trusted.
  • Land every new SKU sourced, tooled, and in stock ahead of critical release dates.
  • Build a global sourcing muscle, locating partners who will run low volume on technically challenging parts with premium fit and finish.
  • Source across a diverse product mix, including but not limited to electronics, castings, heat exchangers, sheet metal assemblies, plastics and composites.
  • Clear supplier-side obstacles so engineering stays on development instead of sourcing problems.
  • Drive hardware gross margin on the cost side, continuously finding ways to improve margins while maintaining customer experience and value.
  • Influence design and tooling decisions across new and existing SKU's with Product Development to drive manufacturability and cost.
  • Improve inventory turns while holding enough stock to support aggressive growth,
  • Serve as the company's champion and lead trainer for Lean principles.
  • Own facilities and warehouse safety, including compliance, training, and incident prevention.
  • Create and maintain a safe, trusting, and inclusive work environment that adheres to best practices and promotes high morale.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:
  • Good attitude at all times and flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years leading international supply chain, sourcing, or procurement.
  • 5+ years supervising teams.
  • Direct experience managing Asia-based manufacturing partners.
  • Proven gross margin improvement in a global supply chain environment.
  • Proven track record of driving supplier quality and reducing defect rates.
  • Experience qualifying new suppliers from scratch, including high-mix, low-volume production.
  • Experience sourcing electromechanical or electronic assemblies, including component lifecycle and certification requirements.
  • Multi-site distribution and global fulfillment experience.
  • Working knowledge of customs, tariffs, and trade compliance.
  • Mastery of Kaizen, PDCA, 5S, and waste elimination, with a track record of teaching lean across departments.
  • Highly technical and self-sufficient with data. Builds queries and pulls insight in ERP and BI tools without waiting on anyone. NetSuite, Shopify, and BigQuery preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
