Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, intellectually curious, and self-driven Strategic Market Intelligence Analyst to lead market assessments and strategic analysis for the professional power supply industry. This role will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, evaluating growth drivers, analyzing competitive dynamics, assessing customer adoption trends, supply chain dynamics, and monitoring disruptive technology transitions that impact the future of power conversion and power supply solutions.

The ideal candidate combines a strong technical foundation with business savviness and market analysis expertise. He or she possesses the ability to translate complex industry developments into actionable insights that support executive decision-making, product strategy, business development, investments, supply chain management and long-term growth initiatives.

This position will serve as a key source of market intelligence for executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders including Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Corporate Strategy, Business Development and Supply Chain Management.

This position will report to the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer and will be located in either Plano, TX or Milpitas, CA

Key Responsibilities

Market Intelligence & Industry Analysis
  • Identify, monitor, and analyze key market drivers influencing the global power supply and power electronics market.
  • Develop comprehensive market models including:
    • Total Addressable Market (TAM)
    • Serviceable Available Market (SAM)
    • Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM)
  • Assess market size, growth rates, profitability trends, and emerging opportunities across focused segments (telecom, data center, industrial) and adjacent segments.
  • Monitor industry developments, regulations, technology roadmaps, supply chain dynamics, and macroeconomic trends impacting the power ecosystem.


Customer & End-Market Analysis
  • Analyze customer segments and identify attractive market "pockets" based on growth, profitability, and strategic fit.
  • Quantify customer market share, wallet-share opportunities, adoption rates, and growth potential.
  • Evaluate customer requirements, purchasing behaviors, and technology adoption trends.
  • Develop models of future customer demand and market evolution.

  • Build and maintain competitive landscape assessments covering:

Strategic & Investment Analysis
  • Conduct market attractiveness studies and strategic opportunity assessments.
  • Support investment evaluations, acquisition targets, partnership opportunities, and growth initiatives.
  • Develop strategic recommendations for leadership reviews.
  • Analyze industry financial performance, market valuations, and investment trends.


Executive Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Translate complex technical and market information into concise executive-level insights.

Required Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • MBA or advanced business degree is considered a strong plus.


Experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
