Director of Strategic Communications & Government Programs

Location: Dublin, Ga / Remote (Periodic Travel Required)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Exempt

What You Will Do

As Director of Strategic Communications & Government Programs, you will:
  • Develop and lead strategic communications, branding, marketing, and outreach initiatives.
  • Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on government socioeconomic programs, including SBA 8(a), HUBZone, SAM registration, and related certifications.
  • Advise executive leadership on government contracting strategies, procurement opportunities, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with government agencies, contracting officials, tribal organizations, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Support business development, capture planning, and proposal strategy through executive-level guidance and strategic recommendations.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, outreach activities, and government engagement opportunities.
  • Help position GovStrive for continued growth and success across government markets.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in communications, government programs, government contracting, marketing, business development, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of SBA 8(a), HUBZone, SAM registration, and other government socioeconomic programs.
  • Understanding of government procurement processes and business development practices.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and relationship management skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing SBA certifications or government small business programs.
  • Experience supporting federal business development, capture planning, or proposal efforts.
  • Knowledge of Native American communities, tribal governments, and tribal economic development initiatives.
  • Experience working in or supporting government contracting environments.
