Full Job Description
What you will do:
  • The Director of Sales is responsible for bringing purpose and a plan of action for customer accounts. The role will manage a team of Sales professionals that sell products for various manufacturers or distributors to business establishments
  • This position works closely with and builds strong relationships with customers, partners, and cross functional teams. As a member of the sales leadership team, the incumbent is expected to manage their book of business and make effective decisions that support sustainable growth.
  • Develop self and others - assign and accept challenging assignments to expand professional knowledge and capabilities of self and others
  • Embody personal leadership qualities that are in line with our cultural 10 Principles to drive behavior and language that promotes respect and accountability
  • Ensure Sales team makes consistent sales calls on assigned accounts
  • Reviews performance of the Sales team as it relates to overall sales goals
  • Survey new potential account and existing account on a regular basis
  • Develop strong customer and vendor relationships
  • Ability to partner and work cross functional with internal support teams
  • Analyze changes in the market conditions as they apply to territory
  • Develop broad product knowledge to assist customer with product application
  • Develop annual budget and manage overall department P&L
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions


What you will bring:
  • Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University
  • 10+ years' in managing professionals, preferably in Sales Management; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of directing, developing and managing people
  • Drive continual improvement through ongoing training and mentoring
  • Possess the attitude of wanting to learn, teach and lead
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and other leaders
  • Strong planning, execution, and analytical skills
  • Ability to identify and communicate customer financial problems to Upper Management
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally when required
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary business information


Location:This role is based in Sacramento, CA

Work hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Salary Range:
  • This is an exempt position that pays $196,000 - $211,966 annually.This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
