Director of Sales & Marketing

Position Summary:

Pinnacle International Hospitality is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sales & Marketing for Le Méridien San Diego Pinnacle Hotel.

This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing market share, strengthening brand awareness, and maximizing profitability across group, transient, leisure, catering, and business travel segments. Working closely with Revenue Management and Operations, the Director will lead all Sales and Marketing initiatives while developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the hotel's sales, marketing, digital, and business development strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals.

- Lead proactive sales efforts across corporate, group, leisure, catering, and strategic accounts while identifying new business opportunities throughout the San Diego market.

- Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, forecasting, inventory, business mix, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall hotel profitability.

- Oversee marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns, website content, social media, public relations, partnerships, promotions, and brand positioning.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, meeting planners, travel partners, tourism organizations, and community stakeholders.

- Analyze market trends, competitive performance, customer insights, and sales results to identify opportunities and improve performance.

- Develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

- Ensure effective commercial processes, CRM management, forecasting, pipeline reporting, RFP participation, contract management, and seamless coordination with Operations and Events.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 4 years of progressive Hotel sales and marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within a full-service, luxury, lifestyle, or upper-upscale hotel.

- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategy, revenue analysis, and digital marketing.

- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel sales, CRM, and revenue management systems.

- Previous experience with Marriott-branded, luxury or lifestyle hotel experience and/or hotel pre-opening experience as strong asset.

- Proven success driving revenue growth across group, transient, leisure, and catering segments.

- Established relationships with San Diego-area corporations, meeting planners, tourism partners, and hospitality organizations.

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to travel or work a flexible schedule as required.

- Must Live in the San Diego Area.
