Full Job Description
The Role

We are looking for a Director of Revenue Operations to build and run the operational backbone of Hadrian's commercial engine. This role spans our core sales organization, government relations function, and programs team. Designing the systems, processes, and tooling that turn strategy into repeatable execution.

The ideal candidate is equal parts builder and operator: someone who can architect a RevOps function from first principles, ship tooling fast, and partner with senior leadership to drive predictable, scalable revenue growth.

What You'll Own

Revenue Strategy & Analytics
  • Own revenue reporting, forecasting, and pipeline analysis across all business units (core commercial, federal/government, and new divisions)
  • Partner with leadership on annual planning, quota setting, and go-to-market design
  • Deliver data-driven insights on pricing, margin, customer LTV, and program economics to inform executive decisions

Sales & Programs Operations
  • Optimize sales processes and enforce CRM best practices across Salesforce
  • Manage deal approval workflows, contractual processes, and proposal/review systems
  • Implement and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting for the revenue team
  • Support sales training, onboarding, and ongoing enablement programs
  • Serve as the primary operational partner to program management for margin, pipeline, deal timing, and systemization

Government Relations Operations
  • Build and maintain systems that track GR activity with the same rigor as a sales pipeline - stakeholder engagement, advocacy stages, relationship mapping, and program timelines
  • Architect automated ingestion workflows that grab, scrub, and load government-related data with zero manual intervention
  • Surface GR intelligence through AI-powered interfaces (MCP integrations) so the team can access insights without logging into Salesforce
  • Implement compliant context and conversation tracking - gated to authorized stakeholders - that captures notes, recordings, and interactions to build a living stakeholder graph and connection web

Cross-Functional Alignment & Revenue Team Operations
  • Align revenue and margin activities across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Government Relations
  • Coordinate new product introduction (NPI) and go-to-market planning
  • Drive execution of strategic initiatives: account-based growth plans, customer QBRs, and program reviews
  • Own orchestration for the revenue team - ensuring new sales materials, product updates, and strategic information flow to the right people at the right time
  • Manage or hire a chief-of-staff function for the revenue organization

Compensation & Incentive Management
  • Lead sales compensation design, administration, and attainment tracking
  • Ensure comp plans align with business objectives and drive desired behaviors across all divisions

Tooling & Systems Leadership
  • Lead evaluation, implementation, and adoption of the commercial tech stack
  • Build and deploy custom internal tooling with integrations to Salesforce and other business systems
  • Identify and resolve process bottlenecks across the full lead-to-cash lifecycle

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or Business Operations leadership
  • Demonstrated track record building RevOps strategy, teams, and processes in a high-growth, multi-business-unit environment
  • Strong proficiency with Salesforce and the broader commercial tech stack (BI tools, automation platforms, data pipelines)
  • Understanding of data structures and SQL; ability to code or direct engineering resources to build custom tooling
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense strongly preferred

Preferred Attributes
  • Familiarity with government contracting, ITAR compliance, or defense procurement cycles
  • Experience building systems for government relations tracking, stakeholder mapping, or advocacy operations
  • Experience supporting key account programs, program managers, and estimating teams
  • Comfort with AI/ML tooling, MCP integrations, and modern automation approaches
  • Ability to translate technical and operational data into commercial strategy
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and shipping internal tools

Compensation

For this role, the target salary range is $230,000 - $260,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).

This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Benefits for Full-time Employees
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees
  • 401k
  • Relocation support may be provided for certain situations, based on business need.
  • Flexible vacation policy
  • Equity

About Hadrian

Hadrianadri?ja?n?s]; 24 January 76 – 10 July 138) was Roman emperor from 117 to 138. He was born in Italica, a Roman municipium founded by Italic settlers in Hispania Baetica and he came from a branch of the gens Aelia that originated in the Picenean town of Hadria, the Aeli Hadriani. His father was of senatorial rank and was a first cousin of Emperor Trajan. Hadrian married Trajan's grand-niece Vibia Sabina early in his career before Trajan became emperor and possibly at the behest of Trajan's wife Pompeia Plotina. Plotina and Trajan's close friend and adviser Lucius Licinius Sura were well disposed towards Hadrian. When Trajan died, his widow claimed that he had nominated Hadrian as emperor immediately before his death. Rome's military and Senate approved Hadrian's succession, but four leading senators were unlawfully put to death soon after. They had opposed Hadrian or seemed to threaten his succession, and the Senate held him responsible for their deaths and never forgave him. He earned further disapproval among the elite by abandoning Trajan's expansionist policies and territorial gains in Mesopotamia, Assyria, Armenia, and parts of Dacia. Hadrian preferred to invest in the development of stable, defensible borders and the unification of the empire's disparate peoples. He is known for building Hadrian's Wall, which marked the northern limit of Britannia.
