Overview

Are you a strategic and analytical revenue leader with a passion for maximizing profitability in the luxury hospitality industry? We are seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Management to lead revenue strategy for a 200+ room luxury hotel in Northern Virginia.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a revenue professional who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment and understands how to balance pricing, demand, distribution, and overall hotel performance. The Director of Revenue Management will partner closely with the hotel's executive leadership, sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue and profitability.

Compensation: $140,000-$160,000 base salary, plus bonus opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Lead the hotel's overall revenue management strategy, including pricing, forecasting, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Develop and implement strategic pricing strategies designed to maximize RevPAR, occupancy, ADR, and overall profitability.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, booking patterns, and demand data to identify opportunities and proactively adjust strategy.
  • Utilize revenue management systems, reporting tools, and analytics to accurately forecast demand and optimize room inventory.
  • Partner closely with Sales & Marketing to develop group, transient, corporate, promotional, and package strategies that maximize revenue.
  • Monitor hotel performance against budget, forecast, and competitive benchmarks, identifying opportunities and recommending corrective actions.
  • Lead and facilitate regular revenue strategy meetings, communicating insights and recommendations to hotel leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee and optimize hotel distribution channels and ensure appropriate pricing and inventory strategies are in place.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to align revenue strategies with overall hotel goals.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to revenue management team members.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, technology, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop actionable strategies based on data and market intelligence while maintaining a strong focus on the guest experience and long-term profitability.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive hotel revenue management experience, preferably within a luxury, full-service, resort, or large-property environment.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Strong understanding of hotel revenue management principles, including forecasting, pricing, inventory management, segmentation, and distribution.
  • Demonstrated understanding of hotel sales, distribution channels, and revenue optimization strategies.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.
  • Experience working with revenue management systems and hotel technology platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of competitive set analysis, market trends, demand patterns, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial and revenue concepts to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively while also independently driving strategy and results.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand hotel environment.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
