Full Job Description
The Director of Revenue Cycle Operations is responsible for leading the optimization of revenue cycle operations, systems, and policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for promoting the financial viability of the organization by effectively overseeing all aspects of the organization's revenue operations. The Director will identify, analyze, reduce, and resolve all revenue cycle issues associated with billing and insurance collections, A/R resolution, charge description master, charge capture, revenue enhancement, cash applications, financial reporting, revenue cycle audits, training and development, information technology performance improvement, clinical documentation improvement, HIM and medical records (including coding).

The successful candidate will excel in rigorous analysis, using logic and proven methodology to solve problems with effective solutions. Ability to lead teams, delegate and communicate effectively are fundamental to the role.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or another related field, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in health care management, health care finance, revenue cycle management, revenue integrity, or reimbursement experience is preferred.
  • Critical Access Hospital experience is highly desired
  • Working knowledge of revenue Code & HCPCS coding
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) is preferred
  • Certified Patient Financial Services Specialist (CPFSS) desired
  • Certified Professional Biller (CPB) is preferred
