All American Home Care is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Retention to lead caregiver and client retention initiatives across the agency. This individual will be responsible for reducing turnover, strengthening caregiver engagement, improving client satisfaction, and building long-term retention systems that support operational stability and growth. The ideal candidate understands the fast-paced nature of home care and can lead retention efforts through communication, relationship-building, accountability, and data-driven strategy
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead agency-wide caregiver and client retention strategies
- Monitor caregiver turnover trends, call-offs, disengagement patterns, and client satisfaction concerns
- Build systems to proactively identify at-risk caregivers and clients before resignation or discharge occurs
- Oversee retention team members and establish clear performance expectations and KPIs
- Conduct stay interviews, caregiver check-ins, and retention follow-up calls
- Collaborate closely with Recruitment, Coordination, HR, and Operations departments
- Analyze staffing challenges and identify root causes impacting retention
- Improve onboarding experience and early-stage caregiver engagement
- Develop recognition, incentive, and engagement initiatives to improve morale and loyalty
- Track retention metrics and provide leadership with regular reports and strategic recommendations
- Assist with conflict resolution involving caregivers, coordinators, clients, or family members
- Ensure caregivers feel supported, valued, and connected to the organization
- Support client retention efforts by addressing service concerns and improving communication
- Create retention-focused SOPs, workflows, and accountability systems
- Help strengthen company culture and employee experience across all offices
Qualifications- Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in home care, healthcare operations, HR, retention, staffing, or workforce management
- Strong understanding of caregiver staffing challenges and home care operations
- Experience managing teams and improving employee engagement
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze trends and implement strategic solutions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience with HHAeXchange, EVV systems, or healthcare staffing platforms preferred
- Strong organizational and conflict-resolution abilities
- Bachelor's degree preferred
