Position Description:

The Director of Radiology and Respiratory Care is responsible for all aspects of Imaging and Respiratory Services, to include policies, procedures, studies and treatments with a cooperative working relationship with physicians, medical center administration, and staff. Maintains a well-integrated system for results reporting and appropriate billing of associated procedures, overall responsibility of staff performance level in accordance with quality standards in state, local and federal requirements. Leads and promotes Service Excellence standards, emphasis on excellent patient and staff experience. Maintains proper safety programs, provides mentoring and works in an advisory role to all Imaging Services system wide.

Qualifications

Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field required.
  • Master's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of clinical experience as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or a Licensed Radiologic Technologist (RT)
  • Minimum three (3) years leadership experience as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or a Licensed Radiologic Technologist (RT) , acute care experience preferred.
  • Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and ARRT (R) required; or California RCP and RRT certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
