Equivalent Hourly: $50.00-$53.00
Shift: Full-TimeRESPONSIBILITIES:- Direct and oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department
- Supervise, mentor, and support therapy staff while ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance
- Monitor productivity, utilization, budgets, billing accuracy, and department performance metrics
- Perform evaluations and treatments as needed to support department operations
- Coordinate rehabilitation services with nursing, physicians, administration, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure accurate documentation, care planning, billing, and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct staff orientation, training, continuing education, and competency development
- Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, admissions, QAPI, marketing, and department leadership meetings
- Monitor therapy equipment, supplies, and department resources
- Support resident and family education regarding therapy services and rehabilitation goals
- Maintain department records, reports, and performance improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy program
- Valid New York State Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy License required
- Minimum 3-5 years of therapy experience, including experience working with geriatric populations
- Skilled nursing facility experience preferred
- Previous management or leadership experience highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation services, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, documentation standards, and long-term care operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively lead a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
