Essential Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with medical and professional staff of other departments to plan/coordinate joint patient and management objectives.
- Ensure optimal allocation of staff to workload ratios, to meet budgetary goals/objectives.
- Ensure operational costs are within organizational goals.
- Prepare departmental budget.
- Coordinate departmental projects.
- Ensure departmental compliance with organizational, departmental specific policies/procedures, safety and health standards, and state/federal regulations.
- Display visionary leadership skills.
- Serve a population newborn through geriatric.
- Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
- Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelorās degree, and (5) years clinical experience.
Required License/Certifications/Registrations
- Kansas license as a PT, OT, Speech Therapist, PTA, or COTA.
- Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Education and Experience
- Masterās degree in PT, OT, Speech Therapy OR a Masters in Health Sciences Administration.
- 4-10 years of experience.
Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations
- American Heart Association BLS.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge in the field of Rehab. Services, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Knowledge and commitment to the team approach to rehabilitation.
- Effective leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
- Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit, both within the department and the organization.
- Provide vision and inspiration to peers and subordinates.
