Director of Quality

Program & Location: Administration Office, New Bedford, MA
Education: Bachelor's degree required in human services, health care field, management, business, or other related field
Pay Range: $70,200 - $110,011 annually (Education & experience dependent)
Status: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm

Director of Quality Requirements

Director of Quality Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of organization-wide process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, consistency, and service delivery
  • Establish and monitor systems to ensure operational reliability, workflow standardization, and reduced variability across programs
  • Identify process breakdowns and system gaps and lead corrective actions to improve performance and sustainability
  • Apply structured improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA, Lean) to address operational challenges
  • Develop and manage organizational performance frameworks, including KPIs, scorecards, and reporting structures
  • Monitor performance trends across programs and ensure timely identification of risks and improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate regular performance review processes with program leadership to drive accountability and results
  • Oversee the development and execution of the organization's annual quality plan, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and regulatory expectations
  • Monitor progress against quality plan goals and adjust strategies as needed
  • Lead regularly scheduled meetings with program leadership to review performance data, track improvement efforts, and support implementation of action plans
  • Oversee development and delivery of reporting and analytics to support operational decision-making and performance improvement
  • Ensure dashboards and reports provide clear, actionable insights aligned with organizational priorities
  • Standardize metrics, definitions, and reporting methodologies across departments
  • Ensure alignment and reliability of data across EHR, HRIS, financial, and operational systems
  • Partner with HIS and IT leadership to ensure systems support workflows, data accuracy, and reporting needs
  • Identify and address gaps in data flow, system integration, and reporting infrastructure
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to align process improvement and performance goals
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on system performance, operational risks, and improvement strategies
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and data-driven decision-making
  • Directly supervise quality and compliance staff, ensuring alignment of performance, regulatory, and improvement activities across programs

Director of Quality Qualifications
  • Bachelors/Master's degree required in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, Health Informatics, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare performance management, process improvement, or analytics
  • Demonstrated experience leading organization-wide process improvement and performance initiatives
  • Experience working across multi-system environments
