We are seeking a strategic, results-driven
Director of Purchasing / Strategic Sourcing & Procurement to lead our global sourcing initiatives and elevate our procurement function into a key driver of value creation and business growth.This leader will oversee sourcing strategies for critical materials including fragrances, flavors, essential oils, and chemicals. Experience in the Flavor & Fragrance industry is highly desired, as this role requires deep understanding of sourcing within quality-sensitive, regulated environments.
Location: South Bend, IN (Preferred) | Hybrid or Remote Considered
Target Salary: $150,000-$180,000 Base + Bonus (Flexible for Top Talent)
Reports to: President
Qualifications:- 8+ years of sourcing and procurement experience (global preferred)
- Flavor & Fragrance industry experience highly desired (or similar regulated/raw material-intensive industries)
- Proven leadership and team development experience
- Strong financial acumen (cost drivers, ROI, budgeting)
- Advanced negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution
- Experience working cross-functionally (R&D, operations, quality, legal)
- Deep knowledge of sourcing in regulated or product-sensitive industries
Job Duties:- Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy aligned with company growth goals
- Ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and high-quality standards
- Establish and strengthen global supplier relationships
- Drive innovation, cost savings, and risk mitigation through collaboration
- Mentor and develop procurement professionals
- Set clear expectations and foster a culture of excellence and accountability
- Manage budgets, KPIs, and spend analysis
- Identify and deliver measurable cost-saving initiatives
- Partner with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams
- Support product development, compliance, and production timelines
- Monitor global market trends and mitigate supply risks
- Integrate sustainability, compliance, and ethical sourcing practices
