Director of Property Management
This position is designed for an experienced commercial real estate professional who brings strong leadership, operational discipline, financial acumen, and a client-first approach. The Director will be responsible for leading our property management team, strengthening client relationships, driving portfolio performance, and ensuring consistent service delivery across a diverse commercial real estate portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability for the Property Management team
• Oversee day-to-day performance of a diverse commercial real estate portfolio
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with owners, tenants, and key client stakeholders
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, financial review, and variance management
• Establish and monitor portfolio KPIs, service standards, and operational best practices
• Drive consistency in property inspections, preventative maintenance, vendor management, and compliance
• Partner closely with Accounting, Facility Services, Construction, Brokerage, and Corporate Real Estate teams
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and portfolio profitability
• Support client retention, new business opportunities, and the continued strategic growth of HCI's property management services
• Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations to company leadership
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years of commercial property management or commercial real estate experience
• 5+ years of direct leadership or people-management experience
• Demonstrated experience managing a multi-property commercial portfolio
• Strong knowledge of commercial real estate operations, budgeting, financial reporting, capital planning, vendor management, and tenant relations
• Proven ability to manage and develop property management professionals while maintaining accountability for portfolio performance
• Experience communicating directly with property owners, executives, and sophisticated institutional or corporate clients
• Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret operating statements, budgets, forecasts, and variances
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and client relationship skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Management, or a related discipline preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with Yardi Voyager or comparable commercial property management software
• Experience managing office, financial institution, healthcare, industrial, or multi-site corporate real estate portfolios
• Experience developing processes, performance standards, and scalable operating procedures
• Demonstrated success in client retention and expanding existing client relationships
