Full Job Description
The Opportunity

As professional photography is reshaped by AI, automation, new client expectations, and a rapidly evolving competitive landscape, we are looking for a Director of Product Management to help define what the modern professional photography workflow becomes next.

This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone with deep product leadership experience and demonstrated proficiency in professional photography. You will represent the needs of photographers currently engaged with Lightroom, helping teams understand where pros need more speed, quality, trust, creative control, and workflow efficiency. You will lead key parts of the Creative Pro offering plan within Lightroom's overall strategy.
Working closely with product managers, designers, engineers, researchers, product marketers, and advanced technology teams, you will translate real-world professional workflows into product direction, roadmap priorities, and shipped experiences.

This role requires a rare combination of customer empathy, product taste, technical curiosity, strategic judgment, and senior-level influence. You will help shape how AI, agents, and new workflow innovations can make Lightroom dramatically more valuable to professional photographers while preserving craft, intent, and control.

What You'll Do

Shape the Creative Pro product agenda:
• Lead key product strategy workstreams for the Creative Pro audience across
Lightroom surfaces including desktop, mobile, and web.
• Identify high-value opportunities across professional workflows, including ingest, culling, editing, retouching, masking, batch editing, collaboration, client review, delivery, and archive.
• Translate photographers' jobs to be done into clear product principles, requirements, priorities, and success measures.
• Help define how Lightroom can offer greater benefits to working photographers over the next several years.

Represent professional photographers inside Adobe:

Serve as a trusted voice for working photographers across genres, including wedding, portrait, event, commercial, wildlife, sports, landscape, travel, editorial, and studio photography.
• Build relationships with professional photographers, educators, creators, camera partners, and industry experts to keep Lightroom grounded in real-world workflows.
• Bring hands-on photography fluency into product reviews, prototypes, roadmap discussions, launch planning, and executive conversations.
• Help teams distinguish between technically impressive ideas and experiences professionals will trust in production.

Imagine and ship new experiences
• Partner with teams in advanced technology, design, and engineering to shape new capabilities into experiences photographers love and rely on.
• Define how AI, agents, and automation should show up in Lightroom to save time, improve quality, reduce repetitive work, and expand creative possibility.
• Balance innovation with quality, performance, reliability, transparency, and user
control.
• Drive clarity and alignment across cross-functional teams, strategic forums, planning cycles, and executive discussions.
Ground decisions in insight
• Stay close to the tools, services, communities, and workflows professional photographers use today.
• Develop a strong point of view on where Lightroom should lead, where it should partner, and how we can exceed expectations of our most advanced customers.
• Connect customer insight, product quality, adoption, retention, monetization, and competitive differentiation into precisely structured product recommendations.

What You'll Need to Succeed
• Proven experience as a senior product leader who has defined strategy and shipped high-impact products, ideally for creative, media, professional, technical, or workflow-intensive customers.
• Deep understanding of professional photography workflows, including speed, quality, consistency, client expectations, high-volume production, and creative control.
• Strong product taste, with the ability to evaluate whether an experience meets the bar for professional use.
• Experience turning ambiguous customer needs, emerging technology, and business goals into well-defined product strategy, tradeoffs, and shipped outcomes.
• Experience partnering deeply with research, design, engineering, and product marketing to deliver customer-facing products at scale.
• Experience with AI, automation, machine learning, generative AI, or agentic experiences, holding a clear stance on trust, control, quality, and user value.
• Executive-level storytelling and influence, especially in senior IC roles where impact depends on alignment rather than direct authority.
• Strong analytical judgment, showing proficiency in combining usage data, customer research, market signals, competitive insight, and hands-on craft expertise.
• Excellent collaboration skills, high ownership, and a demonstrated ability to build trust with photographers and internal partners alike.

Strong Plus
• Over 10 years spent working professionally as a photographer specializing in one or more genres.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, writing for, or building community with photographers.
• Experience collaborating with camera manufacturers, lens makers, imaging hardware companies, or other photography ecosystem partners.
• A photography portfolio, shipped product examples, writing, talks, or other work that demonstrates extensive knowledge of professional creative workflows.
