Full Job Description
Fi is looking for a Director of Product Design! We're looking for a Director of Product Design to lead a small but mighty team of Senior Product Designers. You'll have a key part in setting the direction of the Fi experience across the entire customer lifecycle. The role offers a chance to be hands-on in Figma while demonstrating creative strategy expertise that bring Fi's brand to life. What You'll Do: - Set the vision and high standard of quality for the entire user experience across the Fi suite of products - Evangelize customer-centric thinking throughout the entire organization - Align the team's priorities to our overarching strategy and goals - Manage, mentor, and grow a world-class design team - Oversee the creation of a design systemChampion the user and advocate for their experience across teams and leadership - Design for global scale - Partner closely with cross-functional leadership to make fast, high-quality decisions and turn complex constraints into elegant solutions - Work with research to stay close to customers and translate their pain points into priorities - Contribute to a design culture of collaboration and creative thinking - Guide the team in folding AI into the design process What You'll Bring: -10+ years product design experience, including managing and leading teams with a clear and trackable career arc. - A track record of delivering well-executed products and driving meaningful business outcomes - Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment, working both independently and collaboratively - Deep expertise in consumer product design - Ability to give direction throughout each stage of the design process, from research to concepting to refinement and prototyping - Ability to use both qualitative and quantitative insights to develop a customer-centric strategy - A balance of strategic vision and a meticulous attention to detail - Proficiency in Figma as a primary design tool and experience developing comprehensive design systems - A curiosity and excitement for experimenting with new technologies and AI - Nice to have: experience working on a hardware product - A passion for consumer-facing mobile productsAn appetite to uplevel capabilities with the use of AI, and active in using AI to supercharge output - A portfolio that not only showcases craftsmanship and innovation, but illustrates team management, delegation and results. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $175,000-$300,000. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including skills, experience, market conditions, and role scope, which may evolve during the hiring process. As a fast-growing Series B startup, Fi evaluates compensation opportunistically to align with the right candidate. This role is also eligible for equity compensation.
