Full Job Description
Position Overview:
The PR & Media Relations Director will support and assist in managing the strategic initiatives to create and maintain a positive PR & Media image for the Company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend events on behalf of the Company for PR and Media purposes.
  • Advise executive leadership on reputation management, messaging, and public positioning.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson, when C-level leadership is unavailable, for media engagements.
  • Manage press inquiries and ensure timely, accurate responses.
  • Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and emerging narratives.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, statements, and talking points.
  • Assist in leading crisis communications planning and execution when necessary.
  • Approve messaging for external communications and announcements.
  • Assist in leading media strategy for events, conferences, and announcements.
  • Coordinate press briefings, interviews, and media attendance at events.
  • Schedules and attends all conference calls with media vendors.
  • Audits and reviews all media invoices.
  • Audits and reviews all talent fees.
  • Monitors the progress of the Company's radio, television, and digital campaigns.
  • Interacts with talent and makes changes to copy prints and live reads.
  • If the CMO is unavailable, leads on-site commercial production and ad execution.
  • Monitors and controls the Chief Media Officer's calendar.
  • If CMO is out of office, handles CMO's emails under the scope of duties.
  • Attend all meetings as required.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of media relations principles and strategies.
  • Capacity to advise senior leadership and serve as a trusted communications counselor.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management abilities.
  • Deep understanding of media landscapes and all news media cycles.
  • Ability to act as a spokesperson and prepare executives for interviews and public appearances.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage crisis communications and sensitive issues under pressure.
  • Strong judgement and discretion when handling confidential or high-risk matters.
  • Ability to remain calm, decisive, and strategic in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across internal teams and external stakeholders.
