The Director will identify and develop innovative earned revenue opportunities, including the future use and leasing of the Mary R. The Director will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to establish annual and long-term revenue goals, develop realistic fundraising targets, monitor performance against those goals, and incorporate philanthropic and other new revenue opportunities into the organization's financial planning and budgeting process.

The Director will also work in close partnership with the Director of Marketing & Communications to coordinate donor communications, maintain effective use of the shared donor database, promote consistent organizational messaging, and clearly define responsibilities for donor outreach and engagement.

COMPENSATION & PERFORMANCE INCENTIVE

The Director of Philanthropy will receive a competitive base salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to base compensation, the Director will be eligible for an annual performance incentive based upon achievement of established organizational and philanthropic performance goals. Annual goals will be developed in collaboration with the President & CEO and Chief Financial Officer and may include growth in unrestricted revenue, new donor acquisition, donor retention and development, major and planned gifts, corporate sponsorships, successful revenue-generating initiatives, and other measurable objectives.

The incentive structure is intended to recognize achievement of meaningful and sustainable revenue growth while also rewarding the development of the donor relationships, philanthropic infrastructure, and long-term revenue opportunities necessary to strengthen Boley Centers' financial position.

PHILANTHROPY & DONOR DEVELOPMENT

  • Establish a structured donor cultivation, solicitation, recognition, and stewardship process.
  • Develop strategies to identify and cultivate prospective individual, corporate, foundation, and community donors.
  • Build stronger relationships with existing donors and create opportunities for donors to become more meaningfully connected to Boley Centers and its mission.

  • Regularly report progress, donor trends, pipeline activity, and fundraising results to the President & CEO and CFO.

FINANCIAL PLANNING & REVENUE PERFORMANCE
  • Work collaboratively with the CFO to keep track of annual revenue targets for philanthropy, sponsorships, events, and other revenue-generating initiatives under the Director's responsibility.
  • Assist in developing annual budget assumptions related to philanthropic and earned revenue.
  • Monitor actual revenue performance against budgeted goals and identify strategies to address variances or capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Develop appropriate metrics to evaluate financial performance and return on investment of fundraising campaigns, events, donor acquisition strategies, and other revenue initiatives.
  • Provide reliable revenue projections to support organizational forecasting and financial planning.
  • Ensure fundraising strategies balance immediate revenue generation with the development of sustainable, long-term donor relationships.
