About the JobThe Director of Partnerships owns the commercial health and growth of Tapcheck's partner ecosystem: the payroll, HRIS, HCM, WFM and ERP platforms that put earned wage access in front of millions of workers. You'll lead a team of partner managers, own the revenue that ecosystem produces, and build the operating rhythm that turns a signed agreement into a channel that actually produces.
This is a role for someone who has done it before. Tapcheck already has a deep bench of platform partners; what we need now is a leader who can go deeper with the partners we have, open the ones we don't, and make partnership a repeatable motion rather than a collection of individual relationships. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with Sales, Enablement, Marketing and Product, and you'll be measured on what the ecosystem delivers.
What You'll DoLead and Develop the Team- Manage, coach and develop a team of partner managers, setting clear ownership for every partner in the book
- Own the team's aggregate partner revenue number: build the forecast, run the cadence, and hold the line on accuracy
- Design coverage across the ecosystem so that every partner has a named owner and every owner has a plan
- Raise the bar on how the team shows up with partners: preparation, executive presence, and follow-through
Own the Partner Business Review Cadence- Run structured quarterly business reviews with every active strategic partner
- Bring real data to every review: mutual client counts, adoption, revenue trajectory, open commitments on both sides
- Turn each QBR into a documented plan with owners and dates rather than a status update
- Surface at-risk partnerships early and drive the intervention before renewal becomes the conversation
Grow Revenue With Existing Partners- Build and execute growth plans for the current book, moving partners from signed to launched to producing
- Increase adoption and penetration inside each partner's client base through joint campaigns, co-selling and in-product placement
- Identify where a partnership is underperforming its potential and diagnose whether the gap is enablement, incentive, integration or attention
- Partner with leadership on commercial structure: tiering, incentives and terms that reward the partners who produce
Expand the Ecosystem- Identify, prioritize and land new platform partners across payroll, HRIS, HCM, WFM and ERP
- Build the case for each new partnership on economics and reach, not logo value
- Own the process end to end: sourcing, business case, negotiation support, contracting and launch
- Represent Tapcheck at industry and partner events, and bring your network to bear from day one
Enable Partners to Sell and Support Tapcheck- Work with the Enablement team to build and deliver partner-facing training, certification and sales assets
- Make sure every partner-facing seller can articulate the Tapcheck value proposition without us in the room
- Establish and maintain the partner support model: escalation paths, response expectations and mutual-client ownership
- Measure enablement by what changes in partner behavior, not by sessions delivered
Cross-Functional Partnership- Work hand in hand with Sales to make sure partner-sourced opportunities get the support they need to close
- Align with Marketing on co-marketing, campaigns and partner-sourced demand generation
- Feed partner and integration requirements into Product with a clear view of what the revenue depends on
- Partner with RevOps on attribution, reporting and pipeline instrumentation so partner performance is measurable and defensible
What You've DoneRequired- Spent 5+ years managing and developing a partnerships, channel or business development team
- Owned a team revenue number in a partner or channel motion and consistently delivered against it
- Built and run a partner business review cadence across a portfolio of partners, with documented plans and measurable outcomes
- Grown revenue inside an existing partner base, not just signed new logos
- Sourced, negotiated and launched new platform partnerships from first conversation through go-live
- Worked fluently across both transaction-based and SaaS revenue models, and understand how each changes partner economics
- Operated inside the payroll, HRIS, HCM, WFM or ERP ecosystem with a demonstrated track record of success in those industries
- Built an established network of relationships across those ecosystems that you can activate immediately
- Partnered closely with Sales, Marketing, Enablement and Product to make a channel motion work
- Operated with a high degree of ownership in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment
- Comfortable with ambiguity, high degree of emotional intelligence and self awareness
Preferred- Worked in Fintech, HRTech, Payroll, Benefits, or a PE-backed SaaS environment
- Built or redesigned a partner program: tiering, commercial framework, certification or enablement structure
- Experience with earned wage access, on-demand pay, or embedded financial products
- Worked with major ecosystem players such as ADP, Oracle, UKG, Workday, SAP, etc.
- Used Salesforce and partner management tooling to run forecast, attribution and partner reporting
- Comfortable traveling up to 25-30% for partner meetings, business reviews and industry events
