About the Role

The Director of Operations is a key senior leader responsible for the effective, efficient day-to-day management of NIA. Working closely with the President and CEO, this role oversees administrative operations, organizational finance and budgeting, culture, and cross-team coordination to turn strategic priorities into successful execution.

What You'll Do
  • Provide direct supervision, leadership, and professional development for administrative and operational staff.
  • Establish and oversee efficient systems, processes, and workflows that support organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the organization.
  • Lead financial management activities in partnership with the President/CEO and outside accounting firm.
  • Support development, monitoring, and administration of organizational budgets.
  • Oversee grant administration, including budget tracking, financial reporting, compliance, and fund management.
  • Provide regular financial insights to support organizational decision-making and sustainability.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen employee retention, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive, mission-driven workplace culture.
  • Partner with the President and CEO to execute organizational priorities, anticipate challenges, and remove obstacles.

What You Bring
