As The Director of Operations, You Will...
The Director of Operations oversees the daily operational execution, facility maintenance, conversion workflows, and event logistics for SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park. This role ensures an exceptional fan/client experience while maintaining high standards for safety, operational readiness, and efficiency. Operating in a fast-paced environment supporting high-volume, multi-use events (including major sports tenants, field activities, and full campus operations), this position leads on-site teams, manages third-party contractors, and handles budget administration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Event Operations & Field/Space Conversions
- Oversee and schedule all aspects of venue conversions (field, premium/VIP spaces, clubs, retail, and parking areas) to support frequent high level event turnarounds.
- Coordinate directly with cross-functional teams (Programming, Sales, Ticketing) and third-party event tenants to manage venue logistics, layout changes, and space availability.
- Manage Venue Ops Calendar for Operation Conversion schedule
Facility Maintenance & Asset Management
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules using Internal Systems.
- Track, audit, and manage full asset inventories (operations equipment, tools, heavy machinery) for repair, replacement, or disposal
Fiscal & Contract Management
- Prepare, manage, and monitor annual operational budgets and contracted service line items.
- Assist in multi-year Capital Expenditure (CapEx) planning for long-range venue repairs, upgrades, and structural improvements.
- Direct vendor and service partner management, participating in contract negotiations, service agreement reviews, and compliance auditing.
Team Leadership & Regulatory Compliance
- Hire, train, schedule, and direct full and part-time staff, promoting a performance-driven culture with high service standards.
- Establish, train, and enforce strict compliance with local/federal regulations (OSHA), safety rules, emergency procedures, and corporate risk management policies.
- Serve as an operational problem solver, responding directly to facilities issues, operational disruptions, or client inquiries.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
CAD
- Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D event layouts and venue schematics using Vectorworks CAD software.
- Collaborate with event production, clients, and field teams to translate operational seating and space requirements into scale diagrams.

Essential Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in public assembly facilities (stadiums, arenas, or major venues), including direct experience managing event conversions.
- The Leadership role needs to have experience managing and directing a team of at least 3-50 full and part time employees.
Workforce Management
- Direct end-to-end workforce management strategies across all event operations, optimizing multi-faceted labor structures (full-time, event day staff, and partners) to control labor costs and maximize ROI, while ensuring strict compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws, safety regulations, and union agreements.
Technical Proficiency
- Hands-on knowledge of heavy machinery operations (forklifts, lifts, power tools).
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and CMMS platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and digital operational software.
Budget & Contracting
- Proven experience with operating budgets, CapEx planning, and vendor contract negotiations.
Licensing
- Valid Driver's License required.
Availability
- Must be able to work irregular and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays to cover 24/7 venue operations and 200+ annual events

Compensation: $124,381 - $168,000 per year
Location: Inglewood, CA (On-site)

Hollywood Park considers a candidate's education, certification, prior experience, as well as internal and external data when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Only in exceptional circumstances, if an external candidate has the experience, credentials, or expertise far exceeding what is expected for the position, would Hollywood Park consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
